Love My Updo - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday Morning everyone....time for Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. We are starting the February Challenges a little early. The theme for February is "All in the name of LOVE". This week's challenge is USE YOUR STUFF - Using the work LOVE - Use an item on your layouts that starts with each letter.

Here is my layout....

These photos were taken the night that we had our "Trial Run" for our wedding hairdos. Two wonderful young ladies came to our house and did our hair. It was a lot of fun.

The items I used for the Lasting Memories challenge are Lace, Lettering, Labels; October Afternoon tin pin, Vellum clock & Enamel Dots.

Here are some closeups....

I added machine stitching around the triangles and one of the many, many bobbie pins from my hairdo.

Product List: Teresa Collins papers, enamel dots & vellum clock, We R Memory Keepers - Typecast labels, Custard & Amy Tangerine Thickers, October Afternoon tin pin, MME chipboard key, the clock hand, brad, acrylic label & clips are from my stash.

I used the sketch from Creative Scrappers for inspiration.

I had a couple more photos, so I did a small Project Life page. I used the sketch to create the middle pocket and added a layered heart overlay.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out the rest of the design teams creations, then get creative and link up yours before the end of February. We would love to see what you create.

Fantastic

Good morning everyone...it is back to a regular work schedule for us today....I guess getting back to a routine is a good thing?!

Today I would like to share the layout that yesterday's layout was based on.....

Here is my sister & I posing for the camera. The automatic setting where you get 5 different angles and filters with one click of the camera was used for the different shots.

Here are some closeups....

I used the DCWV - The Hey Sailor Stack paper which I cut out a couple of the project life size prints and banners as accents, and I once again fussy cut some of the elements for embellishing. We R Memory Keepers Typecast tags, Fancy Pants script words/puffy stickers and flair along with twine and brads from my stash.

I used the sketch from Even More Scrapping for inspiration.

Strike A Pose

Today is my last day of Christmas vacation and I managed to get in a little bit more of scrappy fun time. I created a couple more layouts and I would like to share one with you today.....

These photos were taken last summer when we went away for a long weekend with my sister and her husband. We took lots of pictures, but we wanted to get some posed shots. The boys liked the way my sister & I posed, so they tried out the same pose for their photos...what a hoot!!!

Here are some closeups....

All the papers that I used are from DCWV - The Hey Sailor Stack. I love how DCWV stacks always have images that you can fussy cut to create your own elements. Other items used are Bo Bunny doily, Horizon alphas, Studio Calico wood veneer hearts and little men and twine and wood veneer tag from my stash.

I was inspired by the January 1st Stuck?! Sketch.

Happy New Year - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy New Year Everyone!!! Well since it is Sunday, it is time for the newest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. We have a new theme to start off 2017 which is a Stashbuster Challenge!!! and the first challenge is to use your Punches - pull out those punches and put them to use! If you don't have punches you can use die cuts/ephemera pieces on your layout.

Here is my layout.....

We took these photos last year on New Years. I made the little photo props...we had lots of fun with them.

Here are some closeups....

I punched out two Ampersands with my punch, and added some pop dots for dimension.

I punched out three different papers with the same edge punch to give a nice layered effect.

And another edge punch under the photo cluster. I also used a Tab punch above a photo.

Product List: Recollections embossed background paper, Basic Grey - Prism paper, stickers and diecuts.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out the rest of the design teams creations and then get out those punches and use them on your layout....I used 4 different punches.
