Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet, Give Me Something Good to Eat Please - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team A DT Reveal

Happy Hallowe'en everyone! Today I am sharing the first sketch of the month for November for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team A Design Team reveal. The first sketch is being revealed today because of how the calendar is lined up for the month.

Here is my layout.....

I managed to get another year of Hallowe'en from when my children were young. The photo on the left is from 1990, notice the TMNT pumpkin. The photos on the right are from 1991 with them in their costumes. Once again the TMNT influence....what goes around comes around! I made the clown and the Ninja Turtle costume. The Headless man was created by my husband and oldest son.

And some closeups...

Studio G banner title.

Each page closeups.....

I used Kraft Paper AC Cardstock, MME - Mischievous papers and chipboard and Flair Button.

Making Memories Rubons

Studio G Epoxy Brad and chipboard.

To accomplish the over scale title, I cut the rest of the title from DCW - Witches Brew and mounted it on Orange MME paper with October Afternoon Alpha.

And here is Laura's fabulous sketch.....

Be sure to play along and link up your creations before the end of November for your chance at a fabulous prize!

Radical Gifts

I have another post for today. This time a birthday layout from our Grandson's 8th birthday party. Generally the boys have a hard time not "fake" smiling when you point a camera at them and say "Smile". That wasn't the case when all the presents were radical!

And some closeups.....

Product List - AC Cardstock, MME-Good Day Sunshine papers, Fancy Pants Alpha, Basic Grey - Radical wood veneer, Maya Road - Polaroid Camera wood veneer, Bo Bunny brads, Craft Medly sequins, Tim Holtz Tiny Tacker and clip and balloon button from my stash.

I was inspired by the sketch from Scrap & Play Challenge 11.

And the Bingo Card at Scrap Our Stash Challenge #19. I used the 2nd to bottom row, Polka Dot Paper, Polaroid (mine is a polaroid camera), wood veneer, sequin & stickers (Alpha - gifts).

And Off The Rails Scrapbooking with the following mood palette. I think Aiden's smiles are captured, along with most of the colours.

Have a wonderful weekend, I hope you fit in some creative time!

Our Nation's Capital

With the events that have taken place in Canada this week, I thought it was an appropriate time to share this layout. I created this layout as an entry for our local fall fair. The category was A Page Depicting A Historical Location. What is more historical to Canada than our beautiful Parliament Buildings in our Nation's Capital.....

I used Bo Bunny papers, rubons and brads, along with Authentique alphas, Thickers, Tim Holtz Tiny Tacker, texture medium and film strip.

I found the word parliament in an old dictionary and mounted it behind a tear in the top of my page. I stitched around the other edge of my layout with my sewing machine. The key clip is from Michaels.

Although I did not finish the layout on time I was inspired by the sketch from Canadian Scrapbooker and Kewl Beans.

I was also inspired by the following challenges:

Exhaust Your Excess EYE #15 Rubbed the Right way - to use Rubons
Frosted Designs - Get Messy with our Friday Challenge - to use mixed media products and
7 Dots Studio - to use Textures.
.

I also won a First Place Ribbon at the fair!

BALES OF FUN

I attended a crop yesterday and not only did I spend some quality time with family and friends, I got a lot accomplished. Here is one of the layouts I created....

This photo was taken last weekend at the Burford Fall Fair. This straw bale tractor was just outside the main gate and was perfect for photos.

Product List - Carta Bella & Basic Grey papers, Carta Bella stickers,  Alphas - Thickers & Basic Grey, Little Yellow Bicycle Stick Pin, American Crafts stickers, We R Memory Keepers Brads and Tim Holtz ink.

I was inspired by the Let's Get Sketchy October Week 1 sketch.

I was also inspired by the ScrapMuch?! Colour Challenge

And by ScrapStuffz challenge photo - to me the photo was about Autumn and the biggest part of our Fall is the Burford Fall Fair and Thanksgiving Weekend....and I am so thankful for my family!
