I then added some October Afternoon die cuts, brads and stickers.

I used the sketch from Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge and Kewl Beans.

Mason Gerald

I had a wonderful day off work, the weather was a typical day with rain, cold, wind and sunshine. What better weather to spend the day creating....I completed 3 layouts in total.

I would like to share another with you today....

Another first moments layout completed....two to go.

Here are some closeups....

I cut the name out of my base paper and used the negative backed by scraps of co-ordinating papers.

All the products used are Fancy Pants - Baby Mine and paper twine from my stash.

I was inspired by the sketch by Laura Whitaker over at Scrap Our Stash and moodboard.
I was inpired by the colourful polka dots, the colourful stripes at the bottom and the baby crib.

I was also inspired by the Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs to splatter!!!

Have a wonderful evening!

Stay Crafty!!!

Happy "BIRTH" Day

One more Grandson Birth layout to share today....I think I am down to only three more to scrap!!!

An arrow die cut under my Apha (Fancy Pants & Authentique) title.

I stamped the background with a music sheet stamp and Memento Summer Sky ink.

Chipboard banner topped with  some paper twine (from my stash).

Tim Holtz Texture paste stencilling with a little ink for colour. I fussy cut the hearts and layered up little hearts and stars.

The new Mom looks sad in these photos as baby was having some difficulties and they gave him to her to hold for a few minutes before taken him off to the nursery....after 24 hours....all was fine.

I used the new sketch from The Memory Nest #38 for inspiration.

The Cyclone - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

Happy Friday everyone....which means it is time for another ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Design Team Reveal.

I have a layout featuring our youngest son today. I choose photos of Justin as it is a very special day for him.....it is his 30th BIRTHDAY today!!! Happy Birthday Justin!!!

Last August we went to a waterpark for a family day for my husband's work. Justin loved "The Cyclone". He was the only one who tried it and he LOVED it! It was hard to get shots of him when he was ejected from the cyclone tube as you never knew when he would be shot, spit or thrown out! LOL!!!

Here are some closeups. I fussy cut my title and the entrance arrow from a photo that I took of the sign. It worked out perfectly! The Michael's doily is from my sister Brenda's stash....thanks Brenda!

The bright colours of the Fancy Pants paper, die cuts and decorative bag were perfect for my layout.

The buttons are from my stash and the teal twine is from my niece, Karen's stash....thanks Karen.
The off white twine is from Darice.
It is wonderful to scrap with family!

Here is Laura's wonderful sketch...

Be sure to play along and link up your creations before the end of the month for a chance at a wonderful prize.

Happy 30th Birthday Justin...we love you!!!

Tooth Fairy - Stuck?! April 15th DT Reveal

Well the middle of April has rolled around and time for the April 15th Stuck?! Sketches Design Team reveal.

I have some special photos in my layout today. Our Grandson lost his first tooth back in February and his Mom took photos and emailed them to us right away....how lucky are we?!

What a sweetie pie....showing off his little lost tooth, not knowing if he should be happy or not!!!
(He was very happy the next morning after the tooth fairy had arrived. He has since lost a second tooth on the eve of Easter Sunday. He stated that Easter morning was a great day because the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy had come!)

Here are some closeups....

I made my favourite embellishments for this layout..... and added some October Afternoon buttons and Darice twine. The little vellum arrows are from my stash.....and the last of them, I am very sad to say!!!

Layered up some circles with an October Afternoon Tin Pin and Basic Grey office label that I added the date to.

The title is a Silhouette cut file.
All the papers are Carta Bella - Rough & Tough.

Here is Laura's wonderful sketch....

Be sure to link up your creations by the 29th of April for a chance at some fabulous prizes from our sponsors...

Happy Birthday Card

Today I would like to share the card that I made for my sister. Her birthday is tomorrow! We are all gathering at my Mom's house today to celebrate!

I used a Recollections card base and scraps of cardstock and DCWV Nana's Kitchen papers.

I created the layered cake with a Silhouette file and the Happy Birthday is a die cut that I use regularly.

I was inspired by the Card Sketch at Feeling Sketchy #118 that I turned on its side.

I was also inspired by the following challenges:

Hiding in My Craft Room #195 - Super Saturday Scraps
and
The colour challenge at Let's Capture Our Memories.

Happy Birthday Brenda!

Celebrate Everyday

Happy Easter Monday everyone. I am one of the fortunate ones that has the day off. A four day weekend was a long awaited treasure. I had a little scrappy time today and I would like to share my layout with you.

These photos were taken on Saturday. We attended a local Easter Egg hunt for the boys sponsored by the Optimist Club of Mt. Pleasant. We all had a wonderful time. My sister took our picture just before we left for the day.

Here are some closeups....

I tried some different elements out on this layout. I rubbed three colours of Tim Holtz Distress Inks on plastic and then sprayed with a little water. I then pressed my Kraft paper cardstock (Recollections) onto the plastic to absorb the ink.....I think I used a little too much water, but I still like the results. To speed up the process I used by heat gun to dry the paper.
I stamped the chevron stamp with more Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
I also used a bunch of tangled up thread for the first time on this layout....I just love that effect.
The silver arrows are My Mind's Eye.

I used some leftover strips of Kaisercraft - Hello Sunshine Collection and a couple of Die Cuts from the same collection for embellishing.

Heidi Swapp titles in two different styles for my title.

I also dabbed some Tattered Angel Chalkboard Glimmer Mist on the background in two colours - Canary & Mantis. The two tags that are shown are packaging...one from a shirt my husband bought and the Basketville is from one of the basket we used for Easter baskets for our grandsons.
The camera badge is from American crafts....and the filmstrip washi and cloud is from my stash.

I used the sketch #117 from Let's Capture Our Memories as inspiration.

I was also inspired by the following challenges.....

The April Retro Recipe challenge at Kraft + Plus.

And the challenge #179 at Use Your Stuff to use paper strips.

And Beyond Grey Challenges #67 - Spring Green with Spring elements.

And Lessology challenge #46 - Typeface....and the challenge is to use different fonts on your layout. I have 7 different ones on my layout.

And the Linky Party at Paper Issues.

Thanks for stopping by....

Tee Time - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

It is Friday once again and a special one for many reasons....one it is Friday and the end of most work weeks! But today is Good Friday, so more special than most! And today is also the first Friday of the month which means it is time for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Design Team Reveal and today it is a double!

These photos were taken last August on a family day outing for my husband's work. It was the first time our Grandson's played mini golf. We all had a blast!

Here is each page individually....

And some closeups ...

I layered up some Echo Park paper & stickers. The twine is from my niece Karen's stash....thanks Karen!!!

The flag poles are actually some packaging left over from die cuts that I punched out last fall. I kept them knowing they would look perfect on the mini golf layout that I would create with my pictures. I just needed the perfect sketch and papers!!!

The Echo Park papers and stickers are perfect for my photos.

I cut the title from a Silhouette cut file and traced around it with a black Sharpie.

I kept the score card from our game. The colouring from the picture on the scorecard is where I choose my colour scheme.

Here is Laura's wonderful double sketch....

Be sure to link up your layouts before the end of April for a chance at a fabulous prize.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge and the challenge is to use paper and embellishments that you have had in your stash for a long time or to scrap about something you have had for a long time. I have had this collection for over a year, just waiting for the right photos and sketch to come along.

AND by the challenge at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges - #39 Anything Goes plus 3 embellishments. I have three stars (twice) and 3 gears.

Stay Crafty!!!
