TASTY TREATS - Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges

Today I am thrilled to announce that I have been asked to JOIN THE DESIGN TEAM for Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges. The theme for the month of October is HOT, HOT, HOT (Products)!!!

For my first post as part of the Design Team is a Sketch Challenge combined with Product: Use Liquid Glass with the Theme - "Sitting around the Camp Fire". Here is my layout....

My "Daughter-In-Law" took these photos when they were dog/house sitting for us. They enjoyed a campfire along with lots of snacking!!!

Here are some closeups....

A Silhouette cut file for the campfire and the circle is a freebie file from Jennifer Grace Creates. I smudged two colours of ink from my stash to create some smoke from the campfire. I highlighted the fire with Liquid Glass, to add some shimmer (It is hard to see in the photo, but it looks amazing in real life).

Filmstrip washi from my stash, and a recycled clothing tag add some masculine touches.

Product List - MME, AC Cardstock and WeR Memory Keepers - Teresa Collins papers, Paper Studio star clip, Mister Hueys mists, Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer mist and Thickers.

And here is the fabulous sketch....

Now be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges and see what the design team created and link up your creations for a chance at a fabulous prize.

I will be back next Sunday with another Design Team Reveal.

Stay Crafty!!!

TREE HUGGERS - Stick It Down Guest Designer

I have something exciting to share with you today!!! I have been asked to Guest Design at Stick It Down. Every month Stick It Down has a Single sketch, a Card sketch and a Double sketch for you to play along with. I was asked to make a layout using the Double Sketch for the month.

Here is my layout....

My "Daughter In Law" took these photos this summer on a hike along the Grand River.

Here is each page closer up....

And some closeups....

I stenciled with Ranger texture paste in it's natural colour and then layered up papers under each of the photos.

Silhouette cut files for the title, trees and direction pole. I typed up my journalling and cut it into strips.

Product List - MME Real Wood paper for the background, Kaisercraft paper & stickers, Fancy Pants flair, Studio Calico wood veneer trees and washi from my stash.

Here is the Stick It Down sketch....

Make sure you stop by Stick It Down and check out the design teams creations and link yours up. Maybe you will be asked to be a Guest Designer!!!

Thank you Stick It Down for this wonderful opportunity!

BACK TO SCHOOL

It is a beautiful day in our neighbour hood today! Just a fabulous late summer day!

I have a Back to School layout to share with you. The photo was taken and shared by my "Daughter-In-Law". I am so lucky that she sends me photos while I am at work.

This is layout #2 made from my September ScrapMuch? Kit Club kit. I am LOVING this kit!

Here are some closeups...

I tucked in one of the little sleeves behind my photo and added a Whisker Graphics tag with journaling and WeR Memory Keepers twine (The only two things not from the kit).

I stamped my background paper with a script stamp from Paper Wings Productions (that I won!).

A Silhouette cut file for the title.

The kit contains Simple Stories - So Rad. I added a couple of other Simple Stories items from my stash to this cluster and I splatter some Mister Hueys and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and a piece of washi tape (alphabet) from my stash.

I used the sketch from Stick It Down Single sketch for inspiration.
I was also inspired by the following challenges:

and

Enjoy the rest of the day! Stay Crafty!!!

#DUDE

Well the long weekend is winding down. I managed some scrappy time today and I would like to share the layout I created.

This layout just flew together on it's own. I used the September ScrapMuch? Kit Club kit. As soon as I saw the kit I thought....oh yeah!!!!

Here are some closeups....

I used today's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy Week 1.

And the Simple Stories paper and chipboard colours are just perfect for the today's ScrapMuch? colour challenge. Here are the colours...you have to use 4 of the colours, but I used them all!!!

I was also inspired by the challenge at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges - to use Brand Name papers.

Have a wonderful evening everyone! Stay Crafty!!!

Summer Fun - ScrapMuch?! Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

Happy Friday everyone!!! My favourite day of the work week! It sure has been a hot week and we are heading into a LONG WEEKEND in Canada!!! Woo Hoo!!!

It is time for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday and since it is the first Friday of September, it is time for a double!!!

Here is my layout....

Great photos to share with you today after we have had such a very hot week!!!
These photos were taken last summer at a water park.

Here is each page closeup...

And some detail shots...

I fussy cut some of the circles and layered them up.

For this one, I used one of Laura's techniques and created a sun out of a larger yellow circle.
You can find the tutorial here. Grouped with the machine stitching and water colour splatters, it looks perfect topped with a button!!!

I combined two of my ScrapMuch? Kit Club kits for this layout - May and July 2015. Even though they are different manufacturers, they go together wonderfully!!!

Here is Laura's sketch for you to be inspired by....

Be sure to stop on over at the ScrapMuch? Blog and see what the rest of the Team A created. Then be sure to link up your creations by September 29th for a chance at an amazing prize.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Use Your Stuff - Anything Goes
and
Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges - Challenge #49 - Brand Name Paper
and

Product List - American Crafts - Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine paper, Crate Paper - Poolside paper, Thickers-Sun Kissed, Fab Scraps round sand embellishment, Simple Stories - Snap Tin Pin and embossed cardstock , heart clip, twine and buttons from my stash.
