Mom Mason & Me

Here is part two for today. This layout uses the same paper as part one. The photo was taken on the same day, but has another person in it!!!

I used the sketch from LCOM.....

Simple Stories 6X6 paper pad - Summer Fresh, Co-ordinations Cardstock and Thickers.

I sewed around the edges of the layout with my sewing machine.

Here is the sketch....

I was inspired by Sketches 4 All to use black.
and
Use Your Stuff  Challenge #136 - Rule of 3
I used 3 patterned papers, 3 hearts, 3 tickets & 3 words starting with M!

I think these two layouts will look fabulous side by side in an album!

Thanks for stopping by! Stay crafty!

YOU & ME

I have a couple more layouts to share today.....

First up is a layout using the sketch fromChallenge YOUrself, and the challenge to scrap about YOU and a female (or females) in your life. She can be a daughter, sister, friend, mother, grandmother, pet, etc.

Here is my layout of my Mom and me....

This picture was taken the day of my oldest sister's birthday party at my Mom's house.

I just love this Simple Stories 6X6 paper pad - Summer Fresh, that I paired up with SS Homespun sticker sheet and black Co'ordinations cardstock.

The litle polariod wood veener frame is from Maya Road.

I also used Thickers, and My Mind's Eye - Decorative tape.

Here is the sketch I used for inspiration...

I only used one photo and positioned it on the other side to better suit my photo.

I was also inspired by the Birthday Bash going on over at Sketch N Scrap and the challenge is at For the Love of Paper and here is the bingo card. I completed the bottom row with washi, bunting and Yellow.

I was also inspired by Stacey's H-W Challenge for Sketch's 4 All, you can find the info here. And the
challenge is to use Black on your layout.

Stay tuned for part 2!

IT'S A CELEBRATION!

Today I would like to share a layout that I created, framed and gave as a gift today to a very good friend. I had the pleasure of working with C and we also share the love of sewing. C retired a couple of years ago and has never looked back to the land of technology!

One of the other ladies that I work with began a tradition of giving the gift of a quilt to those lucky enough to retire. I had the pleasure of sewing the majority of the quilt for C.

Here is my layout....

And some closeup shots.

I used a new brayer roller to add the hearts. The metal dress form and spool are Momenta.

I created the flower with ek tools - Natural Texture sheets. The bling is Recollections.
I machine stitched around each scattered block and around the entire sheet of background paper.

The sketch I used for inspiration is from Canadian Scrapbooker and Kewl Beans.

I would also like to submit this to SWAT DRILL #32 - MAY FLOWERS

Other products used - DCWV - The Crafter Stack paper; muslin trim - Pink Paislee, Office tag - Basic Grey, K & Company - label maker & Darice Hemp

A special thanks to C for all the inspiration! ENJOY! HUGS!

Happy Day - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday May 16th DT Reveal

Today I would like to share my Design Team layout for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday. You can find all the info here.

Here is my layout....

Aiden was so thrilled with his Pinata for his birthday. It took a lot of smacks (Dad even helped), but it finally split open! You can see the candy falling out in the third picture. And just look at the delight in his face!

I fussy cut out the arrows to layer them up on the paper.

I added tile letters to this Basic Grey - Hey Boy tag to make is work for my layout. I stamped some arrows in the background rather then adding paper to get the banner effect across my layout.

The cogs were cut with my Cuddlebug and aren't the Basic Grey screw heads and push pins fabulous?

I added a Cosmo Cricket woodgrain tag, layered with a Recollections Burlap tag.

Other products are Lucky 7 Factory Paper, wood veneer frame - Teresa Collins, Title - Heidi Swapp. The other embellies are all from Basic Grey - Hey Boy.

And here is Laura's fabulous sketch....

Be sure to link up your layout by Thursday, May 29th at midnight.

Well, just a few more hours to work and I start my first vacation week of the year...I am counting the minutes for the Queen Victoria Day/May 24th Long weekend to begin!!!

I Love Spring - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

Happy Friday everyone, I am so excited to share with you my very first layout as part of the Design Team for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday. The first Sketch-y Friday sketch of each month is always a double. I love double layouts. I take a lot of pictures, so it is a great way to showcase numerous photos together.

Here is my layout.....

I purchased a new stencil at Scrapfest from The Crafters Workshop and used it with Martha Stewart White Texture Effect and then rubbed two colours of ink slightly over the dry medium to give more dimension to the wood grain.

Most of the papers and embellishments that I used are from my ScrapMuch? April Kit Club. You can find all the information on the Kit Club here.

The papers are Simple Stories, Echo Park and AC Cardstock.

I layered up some embellies including paper flowers by Basic Grey, Doily - Michaels and Rhinestones - Recollections

Here is a shot of each individual page....

Everyone had a blast at the Easter Egg hunt.....it was egg-stra special!

Here is Laura's sketch....

Be sure to link up your layout before the end of May for a chance at a fabulous prize.

Here is the ScrapMuch? Link.

Have a fabulous weekend and be sure to get in some scrapping time tomorrow for NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY!
