Calendar Club

Good morning everyone! Every year for the last twenty years or more, my Mom has created calendars from the year's photos and given as gifts for Christmas. Here is a layout to share that memory. I have nicknamed us "The Calendar Club"!!!

Every year there is an order to how we can open our calendars. My Mom calls our names one by one, but we are told...don't open it until I say so. Then she starts the countdown...okay go! Then we are only allowed to remove the wrapping and then we have to wait for everyone to catch up. Then we take out the calendar and have to wait once again for everyone to be ready....then go! We admire each month by month and then are asked to pick our favourite month. We finish off with funny faces. So that is the story of how we open our calendar gifts every year. My husband stands by and records with photos. My Mom is such a treasure to have. We are all so lucky to have her with us at 89 years young! XO

Here is each side of my double layout close up...

And some closeups...

I was inspired by the November Jumpstart sketch from The Scraproom. I mirrored the sketch to make it a double.

ACDC -Back In Black

Good Monday morning everyone, I have a fun layout to share with you today. We were invited to go to a Halloween themed Buck N' Doe back in October. My husband being the fun guy that he is wanted to dress up and he knew exactly who he wanted to dress up as....his most favourite band member ever!!!

If anyone out there knows my husband at all, they would be able to guess who without even seeing him. Of course,- Angus Young of ACDC. Gerry got so many wonderful compliments about his costume. Everything was purchased at a thrift store except for the wig...which I had to cut to be the appropriate style and length....lol

My title is actually from a box that housed a cup that I gave Gerry a couple of years ago for Christmas. I knew that it would come in handy. Great upcycling!!!

I was inspired by the Make It Mondat sketch No. 99 from The Memory Nest

My husband was thrilled on Saturday when I returned home from a crop and surprised him with this layout. About an hour latter he read on line that ACDC lost one of their band member, - Malcom Young. Gerry was very sad! I am glad that we were able to see them live in concert a few years back. It was  wonderful experience to share together.

Finishing Up with 2016 December Daily

Good Morning everyone, after a full day of heavy rain and winds yesterday the sun is shining beautifully! Today I would like to share the last couple of pages from my 2016 December Daily album.

I created this journalling card using a sketch...the perfect way to finish things off.

Here it is on the full page.

I was inspired by the Nov 1st Sketch from Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style.

And for a Boxing Day page another journalling card for one of my final pages....

And here it is on the full page....

And once again I was inpired by the sketch from Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style.

Fabulous little sketches to get those creative juices flowing to finish up my 2016 December Daily. I only have a couple more pages and it will be completed. Just in time to start this years!
