Table Favours/Place Settings

Just stopping in for a quick share today. Yesterday, we had our annual Ross Family Christmas. Our day to celebrate with our children that are able to make it. I made table favours/place settings for everyone in attendance.

I used my We R Memory Keepers Candy Box Punch Board that I had won at a crop. I must say this was a very easy gadget to use. My only mistakes were, I used heavy glitter covered cardstock. Possibly a lighter paper would have bent and tied at the ends easier. Also, I might have chosen smaller items to fill the insides....lol....but that is who I am!

Everyone enjoyed the goodies that they received!

I would like to join in on the fun at the following sites:

WINTER WONDERLAND - Lasting Memories Layout Challenge DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone. Today we are celebrating Christmas with our children and grandchildren...but first time for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenge Design Team Reveal.

This weeks challenge is Make Cut Out Snowflake Day
When: Always December 27
Make Cut Out Snowflake Day is here and now. Here's a day to show your crafty skills, as you make paper snowflakes. Making cut out snowflakes is a great project for kids. However, you don't have to be a kid, to have fun making paper snowflakes. It's a skill that is practiced by many people.
They say no two snowflakes are alike. It shouldn't come as a surprise, that there are seemingly countless different snowflake designs. Templates abound, from fast and easy patterns, to intricate time consuming designs to challenge the most practiced "snowflaker". So, if you like snow....bring it on! Bring out the paper and scissors, and cut out some paper snowflakes on this very special Make Cut Out Snowflake Day.

So the challenge is, Scrap about Snow, Snowflakes, Winter etc....or Holiday Winter Wonderland!

Here is my layout....

Last fall snow came very early and stayed well into April. This year we are experiencing very mild temperatures. Mother Nature sure like to mix things up!!!

Here are some closeups....

I added some hidden journalling attached to one of the Bo Bunny cards.

I used the Silhouette, some die cuts and punches to create my layered snowflakes and the Silhouette for my title.

Product list - AC Cardstock, Bo Bunny papers, journal cards, buttons and chipboard, Fancy pants corrugated paper, sequins-Craft Medley, adhesive stars - Darice, and buttons & brads from my stash.

I was inspired by the following challenges:

LUCKY GIRL! Stuck?! Sketches DT Reveal

How is your December? Flying by? Christmas will be here before we know it. 10 more days....but today is time for the December 15th Stuck?! Sketches Design Team Reveal.

Here is my layout....

I have a funny story to tell about creating this layout. In November I attended a scrappy retreat weekend with my Mom, Sister & Daughter. On the Saturday night, I pulled out this sketch to start my layout. I had prepicked my papers at home. I struggled and struggled with the papers. I asked my daughter what she thought and neither of us could come up with a solution. After much deliberation, we checked the time and it was close to 1:30 in the morning. We decided to call it a night. The next day I started this layout and in no time I had finished. It wasn't the papers that were the problem...they were perfect for my photo....it was a tired brain that needed sleep!

This photo was taken a year earlier at our scrapbooking weekend when my daughter won 3 of the 5 raffle prizes!!!

Here are some closeups.....

My favourite stamp with my favourite embellishment to create.

Product List - Crate Paper paper, die cuts & stickers; Cosmo Cricket tag, Pinkfresh Studio alpha and the buttons, bling and brads are from my stash.

Here is Laura's sketch....

Here are some closeups...

I added a Simple Stories frame around the tiny photo of my Mom....after all,- she is the star of the layout!!!

All the papers are from my stash and the Thickers are Amy Tangerine.

Here is Laura's fun sketch...

Advent Calendar

Today I would like to share an Advent Calendar that I made to enter into our local fair. The category was to make something using scrapbook paper but not a memory page with a Christmas theme. (I won second place at the fair!)

Here are some of my favourite pages....

I used up a lot of scraps of assorted paper lines for my calendar and then decorated each page with a Teresa Collins number from one of the Christmas lines. I then added assorted embellishments, twine, buttons and ribbon. All mounted in an IKEA under a dollar frame. My husband rigged up the little bracket on the top because I didn't like how it was hanging. He cut and bent a hanger to custom fit in the frame....and then it was perfect. I wrapped the hanger with a bright red washi tape.

The countdown is on! It is hard to believe that 7 days have already passed!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Southern Girls Challenge - A bit of what you fancy - I love everything Christmas!
Shopping Our Stash #229 - No Stamping
D - diecuts
I -Ink
E-Enamel Dots
C- chipboard
U-upcycled hanger

Crafty Fun - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges - DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone, time to share the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal.

Today's challenge is - National Brownie Day...here is a little background on the subject:

When: Always December 8
National Brownie Day celebrates chocolatey, chewy brownies. Brownie lovers, love chocolate. Conversely, chocolate lovers, love brownies. therefore, its only natural that we have a special day to celebrate brownies. It's fun and easy to enjoy this special day. first, select your favourite brownie recipe, and bake a batch of brownies. You can add nuts, if you prefer. Topping the brownies with chocolate frosting is a good thing too. Finally, eat them! You can have them for breakfast, lunch, dinner or as a snack. P.S.Don't forget the glass of milk! Happy National Brownie Day.

Now on with the challenge - Scrap about brownies, brown things, brownie troop etc... Or Scrap about Holiday Baking!

Here is my layout....

I didn't have any recent baking photos or anything to do with Brownies....but I thought these Gingerbread garland crafty photos fit right in!!!

Here are some closeups...

Product List - Simple Stories paper, American Crafts paper, PinkFresh Studio puffy alpha stickers, MME enamel dots, Simple Stories snap flair, and Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer Mist - Mantis & Ferrari Red. The little Gingerbread Men and Hearts are Silhouette files.

I was inspired by the ScrapMuch? Sketch below.

And by the challenge at Pixels and Paper- I was inspired by the Gingerbread cookie and the overall Christmas theme.

Believe in the Magic - Stuck?! Sketches DT Reveal

Happy December everyone!!! The Christmas Season is upon us! Time for the Stuck?! Sketches Design Team Reveal for December 1st.

Here is my layout....

These photos were taken last year after the Burford Santa Claus Parade. After the parade is finished (it goes right past our house), everyone gathers at the Agricultural Hall for a visit with Santa!
An exciting time for young and old.

Here are some closeups....

I kept this layout fairly simple as there is a lot of glitter from the Teresa Collins papers and I felt that they spoke for themselves. I fussy cut the Santa face and added a few pieces of chipboard along with the title. When our grandson's come over next, I am going to get them to write their own names on the Dear Santa letter that I used as a backdrop.

Here is Laura's sketch...

Be sure to visit the Stuck?! Sketches Blog to check out the rest of the team's creations....I promise, you won't be dissappointed. Then be sure to link up your creations by the 29th of December for a chance at a fabulous prize from one of the sponsors.

Enjoy the season! Stay Crafty!!!
