Shining Stars! Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone....it is time for Lasting Memories Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the "Welcome to the Oscars" theme and this weeks challenge is "Black Tie Affair" to showcase something fancy or to use black on your layout.

I choose to do both....here is my layout....

This photo was taken in 2005 when my husband and I attended the Shining Stars Tourism Awards Gala. The theme for the evening was Mardi Gras. The tournament that I had organized the year before was up for an award. Also my employer and my favourite place to volunteer was also up for an award. It was an amazing evening as all three won! We posed for this photo with everyone that was part of the exciting evening. These are all amazing people, some which have now passed. I am thrilled to have worked with these people on both a professional and more importantly as a volunteer. This evening will always hold a special memory for me.

Here are some closeups....

I used the following sketch from Sketches In Thyme #187.

Be sure to stop by Lasting Memories and see what the rest of the team created and come back and link up yours by the end of the month.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Stay Crafty!!!
