The first layout that I want to share with you is a family photo taken when I was just a baby from 1960. I am the little one that my Mom is holding.
I used my April ScrapMuch? kit club papers, Bo Bunny - Heritage line. I just loved this kit!!! You can find all the info for their kits here.
And here are some closeups.....
For the background I stamped a music sheet stamp and then splattered a few different colours from my Loew Cornell watercolor cakes. My title is from two styles of Thickers. And the rub on to add the date is Fancy Pants.
Above I added Tim Holtz Texture medium with a stencil and dabbed it with Distress Inks to give it a blended look.
I added different colours of acrylic paints to the Blue Fern Studios Shabby Brick Bits and tucked them under the layers of paper. The flower cluster is a combination of Maya Road, Recollections and Petaloo flowers....that I added more distress ink to to blend the colours.
The Cherry tag is American Tag Company and the other is from the kit club as well as the twine.
The background paper is AC Cardstock kraft paper that has an embossed wood grain.
I used the May Sketchabilities #138 for inspiration.
This is my first attempt at this type of mixed media layout...I am really happy with how it turned out!
I was also inspired by the challenges at:
Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge to use flowers.
and Red Carpet Studios #97 Field of Dreams...to create your own background.
Thanks for stopping by....Stay Crafty!!!
