Summer Fun - Stuck?! Sketches DT Reveal

I can't believe that we have turned the calendar and it is September, the summer and the year has just flown by. Since it is the beginning of the month, it is time for the newest Stuck?! Sketches Design Team Reveal.

Here is my layout....

My husband took this selfie on our recent beach vacation. I loved that he captured the six of us in this shot.

Here are some closeups....

I added a bit of fine stamping to the background to mimic the sand.

Product List: Kaisercraft - Sandy Toes background paper, Echo Park paper, stickers & chipboard - Beach Party and Happy Summer, flair, wood veneer, washi and buttons are from my stash.

Here is Laura's fabulous sketch...

I love a sketch that uses up all those little bits and pieces of paper. Be sure to stop by the Stuck?! Sketches Blog and check out the rest of the team's creations. I promise you won't be dissappointed. Be sure to link up your layouts by the 29th of September for a chance at some amazing prizes.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Challenge Yourself - to use a die cut! My die cut is the ampersand. I am the one on the right in the back!

Today

Well it is Monday and back to work time, but first I would like to share a layout with you.

Another photo from the gang's first trip to Ottawa last summer.

Here are some closeups....

I created a pocket for a journalling tag with some private thoughts.

Above shows how I created that pocket. Just cut a piece of cardstock just a little bigger than the journalling tag. Add some two sided tape for durability and voila!!!

Product List - Teresa Collins paper, chipboard and stickers, Organza ribbon - Ribbon Boutique, Tim Holtz tiny attachers and the wood veneer and twine is from my stash.

I was inspired by the August 15th sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

And by the Tic Tac Toe challenge at The Studio Challenges.

I used the bottom row - Wood Veneer, Blue & Buttons. I also have Wood Veneer, Two types of Alpha and Brown.

Good Morning everyone, and a beautiful Saturday morning it is. I wanted to share a Project Life Style page with you today.

Catching up with more photos from our family trip last summer to Ottawa.

I was inspired by Sketch #81 from Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style.

And my second card...

And the inspiration from Sketch #84 from Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style
As you can see, I made some changes to suit the size of card that I wanted for my page.

And here is the completed Project Life page. (Sorry for the glare, I haven't figured how to avoid that yet - Any suggestions?)

Journey Through the Wye Marsh - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone, it is time for yet another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About the Animals" for August. The last challenge for the month is In The Sea (fish, dolphin, seahorse, sea turtle etc...).

Here is my layout...

Since we live in Southern Ontario, we don't have much of a chance to be near the "Sea", so I decided to scrap photos from a recent trip to the Wye Marsh near Midland, Ontario. I highly recommend this for a family outing. Such a wonderful place to hike through the forest, on the many trails around the marsh or on the wonderful boardwalk through the marsh. We saw lots of "Sea" life!!!

Here is each side of my double layout closer up....

And some closeups...

Product List: MME Necessities - Light Wood for the background papers, Simple Stories - Life in Color paper, Fancy Pants and Studio Calico tin pins, Momenta stickers, Crafts alpha, Making Memories alpha, Fancy Pants alpha and stickers and the foot paper clip is from my stash.

I was inspired by the sketch from Even More Scrapping.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out the rest of the team's creations and be sure to link yours up by the 27th of August. We would love to see what you are creating.

Lovely Party

Good morning everyone, it is a beautiful Saturday morning here in Southern Ontario. No humidity and the sun is shining brightly!!!

I would like to share a special birthday layout with you today.....

My Mom recently celebrated her 89th Birthday. My husband and I hosted her party. For my Mom's 78th birthday we went on a Hot Air Balloon ride, so since then I usually have something for her with a Hot Air Balloon. A local bakery made the fabulous cake for her party.

Here are some closeups...

After hosting a party, my Mom will call the next day to thankyou for the party and say how Lovely it was....so an easy title for this layout.

I was inspired by the sketch and moodboard for August 15th from Let's Get Sketchy.

I was inspired by the Hot Air Balloons and the pinks and blues.

I was also inspired by the Anything Goes challenge at Scrapping 4 Fun.

Product List: MME - Lucky In Love paper and stickers, AC Cardstock, Recollections wood veneer, Eyelet Outlet jewels, Zva Creative pearls, Heidi Swapp epoxy title and Celebrate It lace.

He Dreams Of Being A Storm Chaser!

Good evening everyone! I have a layout to share with you tonight.

Since the beginning of time our Grandson has been intrigued with weather. He can tell you A LOT of information about storm systems, especially thunder, lightning and tornadoes. He has dreamed of becoming a storm chaser. You can just imagine his delight when he noticed this man in the top photo with a vest on that said - "Storm Chaser". I wish we could have been there, but we have heard the story and my "daughter-in-law" shared these photos.

Here are a couple of closeups....

I added a pocket with a tag with personal journalling for this little man to inspire to follow his dreams.

I cut the title with my Silhouette.

I was inspired by the lastest Make It Monday sketch at The Memory Nest.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Use Your Stuff - Challenge #275 - For The Love of Children - to create a project about children. What better thoughts for our children then to follow their dreams.
