Counterfeit Kit Challenge - Guest Designer Reveal and Blog Hop

Happy July 1st everyone, it is a long weekend here in Canada as we are celebrating our country's birthday today!

I am thrilled to share with you today that I have been asked to be a Guest Designer for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge for the month of July. Today I am participating in a blog hop with the design team. Here is a little bit of information about this fun challenge.

The challenge is to use an inspiration kit to recreate the feel/vibe of the kit using your own supplies! Create a ‘counterfeit kit’ to use when creating layouts during the month. Lori chose the  June Flavors of the Month kit from The ScrapRoom as the inspiration kit. Here is a look at the inspiration kit....

And now to share with you the kit that I created....

I chose to go with four different themes as in the inspiration kit. First my masculine kit that consists of papers from Photoplay, Authentique, Scrapbook Customs, TPC Studio and Basic Grey. I added a couple of pieces of Kraft paper cardstock and tags and lots of masculine embellishments from Basic Grey.

Next I created a Summer Fun kit to use to scrap lots of fun summer photos around the pool and a recent Margarita party that we hosted for my husband's birthday. The papers and project life style cards are from Creative Memories along with some fun embellishments. I also included a few pieces of textured white cardstock and a Recollections 6x6 pad and matching embellishments.

For the Birthday Kit, I chose more masculine papers as I have lots of male birthdays to do catch up on. The papers and stickers are from Echo Park.

For my Travel Theme kit, I chose the Happy Camper line from My Mind's Eye as well as an Echo Park map paper. Lots of embellishments from MME as well complete the kit.

I can't wait to get busy creating with this kit. I am starting three weeks vacation, so I hope to get some scrapping time while I am on vacation.

Here is the complete list of the blog hop. Be sure to stop by each of the design team members blogs to see their kits:

Shed Builders Just Want to Have Fun-Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone and time for another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "Stash Busting" for the month of June. This is the last challenge for June and we want you to use 5 different patterned papers on your layout.

Here is my layout...

I created a double layout from last summer when the Grandsons were helping Papa build his new shed.

Here is each side close up...

And some closeups....

I choose to add a couple of extra photos to the tags.

I actually used 6 different patterned papers on my layout. I can't wait to see what you create with this challenge. And don't forget I will be offering up a prize to one lucky entry.

I was also inspired by the following challenges:

The sketch I used was from Let's Scrap.

And I was also inspired by the In Stitches challenge from Scrap The Boys. I stitched through my title to keep the sticker alphas in place and also along the top of the little banners.

Grade 4 and Grade 1-Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone, and it is going to be another hot day in Southern Ontario. It is time for the newest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "Stash Busting" for the month of June. Today's challenge is to use Rub-ons on your layout.

Here is my layout....

I have a complete set of school themed Rub-Ons from Basic Grey that were just perfect for this challenge.

Here are some closeups....

The School Rocks and stars above and the pencil and formula below are rub-ons.

I was on a roll with the rub-ons, so I created a second layout.

The school pictures - say cheese above and the camera and formula below are rub-ons.

Another cute pencil rub-on above.

I can't wait to see what you create with rub-ons.

I was inspired by the Sketch #328 from Sketches In Thyme. I mirrored it for the second layout to fit perfectly in my album.

Captured

Good Evening I have another layout to share with you today using my Counterfeit Kit.

Two little cuties standing in front our pond. I used a fancy setting on my camera for these shots. It takes 5 photos with one click and it creates the photos with different filters and zooms in as well. One click = two adorable photos.

I was inspired by the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.
