As you can see, I made some changes to suit the size of card that I wanted for my page.

Journey Through the Wye Marsh - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone, it is time for yet another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About the Animals" for August. The last challenge for the month is In The Sea (fish, dolphin, seahorse, sea turtle etc...).

Here is my layout...

Since we live in Southern Ontario, we don't have much of a chance to be near the "Sea", so I decided to scrap photos from a recent trip to the Wye Marsh near Midland, Ontario. I highly recommend this for a family outing. Such a wonderful place to hike through the forest, on the many trails around the marsh or on the wonderful boardwalk through the marsh. We saw lots of "Sea" life!!!

Lovely Party

Good morning everyone, it is a beautiful Saturday morning here in Southern Ontario. No humidity and the sun is shining brightly!!!

I would like to share a special birthday layout with you today.....

My Mom recently celebrated her 89th Birthday. My husband and I hosted her party. For my Mom's 78th birthday we went on a Hot Air Balloon ride, so since then I usually have something for her with a Hot Air Balloon. A local bakery made the fabulous cake for her party.

Here are some closeups...

After hosting a party, my Mom will call the next day to thankyou for the party and say how Lovely it was....so an easy title for this layout.

I was inspired by the sketch and moodboard for August 15th from Let's Get Sketchy.

I was inspired by the Hot Air Balloons and the pinks and blues.

I was also inspired by the Anything Goes challenge at Scrapping 4 Fun.

He Dreams Of Being A Storm Chaser!

Good evening everyone! I have a layout to share with you tonight.

Since the beginning of time our Grandson has been intrigued with weather. He can tell you A LOT of information about storm systems, especially thunder, lightning and tornadoes. He has dreamed of becoming a storm chaser. You can just imagine his delight when he noticed this man in the top photo with a vest on that said - "Storm Chaser". I wish we could have been there, but we have heard the story and my "daughter-in-law" shared these photos.

Here are a couple of closeups....

I added a pocket with a tag with personal journalling for this little man to inspire to follow his dreams.

I cut the title with my Silhouette.

I was inspired by the lastest Make It Monday sketch at The Memory Nest.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Use Your Stuff - Challenge #275 - For The Love of Children - to create a project about children. What better thoughts for our children then to follow their dreams.

AT THE ZOO - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday morning everyone, time for the lastest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About Animals" and today's challenge is At the Zoo (lion, zebra, monkey, peacock etc...).

Here is my layout...

We always have family adventures to celebrate our Nation's birthday. A couple of years ago we went to the Brantford Twim Valley Zoo. It is a local zoo with big adventures!!!

Here is each side close up...

I added my journalling around the sun burst design. All the animals were fabulous. The Lion however did not like my son. Whenever he was around the Lion was growling, hissing and just generally miserable. It was kind of scary!!! Other than that the animals are well cared for and very happy in their surroundings!

I added a little cluster of of die cuts and stickers.

Hello - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday morning, we are right in the middle of a Civic Long Weekend here in Canada. The weather has been beautiful! It is time for the newest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of All About Animals for August and today's challenge is In the house (dogs, cats, rabbit, hamster, turtles etc...).

Here is my layout...

Gizmo is one of our two cats. He is a very large boy and quite lazy...this is his usual stance. My "daughter-in-law" took these photos and sent them to me...just as I was about to start this challenge. Purrfect!!!

Discover - Stuck?! Sketches DT Reveal

Good morning everyone, it is the 1st day of August and time for the newest Stuck?! Sketches Design Team Reveal.

Here is my layout...

While site seeing in Ottawa we came across the Oscar Peterson statue. The boys loved crawling inside of the piano for a photo opportunity!

Here are some closeups....

I loved the teal colour on the one paper, so I added a few other pops of the colour throughout my layout.

I cut a slit in the background paper so that the music note paper clip floated above the title.
