WE ARE HERE! Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone....time for the newest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme for July of "Childhood Games" and this week's inspiration is Snakes & Ladders.

Here is my layout....

These photos are from last year's Canada Day adventure. We went to a small local zoo. The boys always love an adventure, but when the attraction has a brochure, they just have to have one....and when that brochure has a map....Oh My Goodness....we get an update at every point of our adventure. This layout highlights those actions!!!

Here is each side of my layout close up...

And some closeups...

Product List: Echo Park - All About A Boy papers, Imaginisce - Let's Roll - Let's Go paper, Project Life - Becky Higgins card, Thickers & Pinkfresh lettering, assorted arrows from Pinkfresh, Simple Stories & Project Life. The Canada Day pin is from the dollar store (I just removed the clothing pin from the back).

Here is the Lasting Memories Inspiration photo....

I was inspired by the colour scheme and the directions of the snakes and ladders.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the team created over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges.

I used one of the Scrapbook & Cards Summer 2016 sketches for inspiration.

I also was inspired by the colour palette at The Studio Challenges.

Sun-N-Fun - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges 300th Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome to the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges 300th Challenge Blog Hop. Several of our design team members are playing along and offering up some blog candy, so be sure to stop by each of their blogs for great inspiration and amazing prizes.

Our theme for July is "Childhood Games" . Each week you will make your layout based on the photo/game provided in the inspiration photo. Our first challenge is "Marbles". Here is your inspiration photo...

Now on with the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Tina's blog, but if not, the entire list is at the end of this post.

Here is my layout....

I have a new camera and it has an AWESOME setting that was discovered by someone other than me (Thanks Taylor) and it takes 5 pictures at once and produces the photos with different filters, angles and colouring....it is really cool. So with one click these two photos were taken. It is hard to see in this picture but the closer up shot, you can actually see the water drops on their faces!

I was inspired by the photo with the shape of the marbles and the bright, vibrant colours.

Here are some closeups....

I thought this Thicker's Sun-Kissed title was appropriate as the photo is our Son having fun in the sun with his Son!!!

I cut out several circle pieces in various sizes with punches and layered around the bottom of the photos. Some I used pop dots to add some dimension. The happy face game was in a kit from Boy's Rule Scrapbook kits...it went with the fun theme of this layout!

I added some paint splatters and gems to complete the pool/splash fun of the layout.

Product List: Jillibean Soup goodies - Cool As A Cucumber Soup, Soup Staples - Dark Brown Sugar, Co-ordinating Minestrone paper and lots of other Jillbean paper scraps in the circles. American Crafts/Thickers - Sun-Kissed and Queen & Co. Bubbles.

Now for the fun part for our celebration of Lasting Memories 300th Challenge. I am offering a prize to one lucky person who leaves a comment on my post here. I will draw the winner on July 11, so that gives you lots of time to leave me some love.

And on with the rest of the Blog Hop....be sure to stop by each of the Designers and leave them some love as well...After all...Love is all we need!!!

Thanks so much for hopping along with us, here is the rest of the list....

Have a wonderful Sunday! Stay Crafty!!!

Go See Do - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone, we finally got some much needed rain overnight. It can stop now as we have a family BBQ planned and it will put a damper on things. Anyway it is time for the newest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. For the month of June the theme is: ALL ABOUT ME and today's challenge is - Anything Goes as long as it has something to do with you!

Here is my layout....

This photo was taken last July on the day we went to the movies to see the new Minion movie. We stopped at a fast food restaurant on the way to grab lunch and low and behold, they were all about Minions too!!! So the part about me that I would like to share today is that I LOVE being a Nana and we love Minions!!!

Here are some closeups....

I cut the tags with a Cuddlebug folder. The little Minion guy I purchased at Scrapfest from one of the vendors. I was a little disappointed when I opened up the package of four and there were no face parts. So I thought about it and created my own. I used some grey washi tape from my stash and cut it to size, then I found the appropriate size of brads, added a punch out circle and a little piece of bling and a smile and voila....Minions!!! I think they are adorable and a great buy at $1 for 4 of them.

I used my favourite WeR Memory Keepers Sew Stamper and created the circle of hearts and XOXO in the background.

The title I purchased from another vendor at Scrapfest. I added American Crafts twine, some Fancy Pants puffy stickers to the EK Success Minion paper.

Now be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog and check out the rest of the design teams creations and then get busy and create your own by the end of June and link it up for a chance at a wonderful prize.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay Crafty!!!

I took these photos of the Grandsons last Thanksgiving weekend. The tree that they are standing by has been cut down this Spring. It was necessary, but what a big change to our front yard. We will miss that old Maple!

And some closeups...

The papers are from my March ScrapMuch?! Kit Club kit.

And here is Laura's last fabulous sketch for ScrapMuch?!

You have until the 29th of May to play along.

MADE WITH LOVE - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges - DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their May 24 long weekend. It is time for the newest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the Theme for the month of ALL ABOUT THE PHOTOS! Today's challenge is - How many can you fit?

Here is my layout....

I decided to make a double layout, then I would have room for lots and lots of photos. I managed to use 14 photos in total to tell the story of making a quilt for my daughter.
The photos tell the story from cutting the fabric, to sewing the blocks together, to sewing the strips together, to hand stitching the binding and the the finished project.

Here is each side of the double closer up...

I added some machine stitching to go with the theme of my layout. I created this grid pattern to also go with the quilting theme. Four of the squares are actually pieces of the four fabrics that make up the quilt.

And some closeup shots...

I added some bunched up thread under the tin pin to stay with the sewing theme.

I added a hidden journal tag tucked in at the top.

Product List: DCWV Crafty Stack, AC Cardstock,Thickers, and the tin pin and wood veneer are from my stash.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog and check out what the rest of the Design Team created and link up yours before the end of the month for a chance at a fabulous prize!

Thanks for stopping by! Stay Crafty!!!

Awesome - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday FINAL DT Reveal

Happy Friday everyone! It is time for ScrapMuch?! Sketch-y Friday Design Team Reveal. And Sadly this will be my FINAL Design Team reveal for ScrapMuch?!

Here is my layout....

I took this photo of our Son and his boys last Canada Day. Aren't they Awesome?

Here are some closeups....

For the circle element I used one of my die cut folders for this fabulous arrow element. I love how it turned out. I topped it with another die cut folder for the yellow tag.

Fabulous Fancy Pants puffy sticker stars were just the perfect shade of red.

I cut some strips of We R Memory Keepers and Teresa Collins papers and layered them along with an extra large film strip washi from my stash.

A few coordinating stickers backed with pop dots are the perfect addition, along with the Heidi Swapp sticker word title.

Here is Laura's wonderful sketch...

Be sure to stop by the ScrapMuch? Blog to check out the rest of the teams creations. Then stop back and link up yours before the 29th of May.

I would like to thank the ScrapMuch?! team from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity of being part of their design team. It has been a pleasure. Laura, Elaine, Eileen and Anita. It has been a blast. See you at the crops and retreats! XOXOXO

I was also inspired by the challenge at Scrapping4Fun Challenges Challenge #65 - Anything Goes.
