The circle elements are a Silhouette cut file as well.

BACK TO SCHOOL

It is a beautiful day in our neighbour hood today! Just a fabulous late summer day!

I have a Back to School layout to share with you. The photo was taken and shared by my "Daughter-In-Law". I am so lucky that she sends me photos while I am at work.

This is layout #2 made from my September ScrapMuch? Kit Club kit. I am LOVING this kit!

Here are some closeups...

I tucked in one of the little sleeves behind my photo and added a Whisker Graphics tag with journaling and WeR Memory Keepers twine (The only two things not from the kit).

I stamped my background paper with a script stamp from Paper Wings Productions (that I won!).

A Silhouette cut file for the title.

The kit contains Simple Stories - So Rad. I added a couple of other Simple Stories items from my stash to this cluster and I splatter some Mister Hueys and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and a piece of washi tape (alphabet) from my stash.

I used the sketch from Stick It Down Single sketch for inspiration.
I was also inspired by the following challenges:

and

Enjoy the rest of the day! Stay Crafty!!!

Well the long weekend is winding down. I managed some scrappy time today and I would like to share the layout I created.

This layout just flew together on it's own. I used the September ScrapMuch? Kit Club kit. As soon as I saw the kit I thought....oh yeah!!!!

Here are some closeups....

I used today's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy Week 1.

And the Simple Stories paper and chipboard colours are just perfect for the today's ScrapMuch? colour challenge. Here are the colours...you have to use 4 of the colours, but I used them all!!!

I was also inspired by the challenge at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges - to use Brand Name papers.

Summer Fun - ScrapMuch?! Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

Happy Friday everyone!!! My favourite day of the work week! It sure has been a hot week and we are heading into a LONG WEEKEND in Canada!!! Woo Hoo!!!

It is time for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday and since it is the first Friday of September, it is time for a double!!!

Here is my layout....

Great photos to share with you today after we have had such a very hot week!!!
These photos were taken last summer at a water park.

Here is each page closeup...

And some detail shots...

I fussy cut some of the circles and layered them up.

For this one, I used one of Laura's techniques and created a sun out of a larger yellow circle.
You can find the tutorial here. Grouped with the machine stitching and water colour splatters, it looks perfect topped with a button!!!

I combined two of my ScrapMuch? Kit Club kits for this layout - May and July 2015. Even though they are different manufacturers, they go together wonderfully!!!

Here is Laura's sketch for you to be inspired by....

Be sure to stop on over at the ScrapMuch? Blog and see what the rest of the Team A created. Then be sure to link up your creations by September 29th for a chance at an amazing prize.

Happy 9th Birthday!

Today I would like to share a birthday card that I made for our oldest Grandson. He will turn 9 tomorrow and he just loves Minecraft!

Here is the card that I made for him....

I used Silhouette cut files for both the images and the font for the greeting.
I even added his name to the inside of the card along with a couple of stamped greetings.

I was inspired by the challenge at Silhouette Challenges #29 - Anything Goes.

Papa & I want to wish Aiden a Very Happy 9th Birthday! See you at the party on Saturday!

HAPPINESS - Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge - Guest Designer

Hi everyone, I am thrilled to say that I am Guest Designing over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. I just love the challenges from this blog, they are always lots of fun.

The challenge for September is New Beginnings and I have a very special layout to share with you for this theme.

Anyone who knows my family knows that our youngest son, Justin was diagnosed with Keratoconus at age 15. Keratoconus is a thinning disorder of the cornea that causes visual distortion. Six years ago Justin was legally blind. He was fortunate enough to have two wonderful individuals who signed donor cards and he received two new corneas with two separate surgeries. One in 2010 and the second in 2013. It has been a long procedure, but the result is with new glasses in June, he now has nearly 20/20 vision. It is amazing and definitely a new beginning for Justin and his young family.

Here is my layout....

And some closeups...

I had lots of journalling that I wanted to capture on this layout, so I used two Tags & Bitty Bags from Whisker Graphics (that I won). The tag below is what I posted on FB the night that we came home from picking up his new glasses.

And below is personal thoughts that I wanted Justin to be able to read again and again. It has been quite the journey and I am fortunate to have been able to be with him for a lot of the steps along the way!

I was inspired by the sketch from The Studio Challenges.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Use Your Stuff - Anything Goes
and
Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges - Challenge #49 - Brand Name paper.

Product List - MME paper & enamel dots, AC Cardstock, Heidi Swapp title & yellow star, Whisker Graphics tags & Bitty Bags, Tim Holtz tiny attachers, arrow & Distress Spray Stain - peacock feathers, WeR Memory Keepers twine, Darice silver stars, Eyelet Outlet sunglass brad, XOXOXO stamp from STAKZ and the tin pin is from my stash.

Be sure to stop on over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge to check out what the design team came up with and link up your New Beginnings creations.

Thanks again to Anne and the Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge for this wonderful opportunity to Guest Design with them.
