Washi Fun! - Stuck? January 1st Sketch Challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

We have another brand new sketch up on the Stuck?! Sketches Blog for January 1st!

Here is my DT layout......

Back in October our Grandsons were over for a "sleepover"! I was trying to get some cute Fall pictures when out came the Washi tape.....and of course little boys would want mustaches with mustache Washi!!!!! I had tried to take pictures the night before, but no one was interested. The next day when I was downloading the pictures I had taken, Mason saw one of the photos with him and a mustache....he laughed his hardy little laugh that comes from his toes. When asked if I could give him another mustache and take more pictures, I jumped at the opportunity. The sun was shining beautifully that morning and was perfect for picture taking. Hence the title of my layout!

Here are some closeups.....

I added some different washi tapes to the brown tags as details on my embellishments.

And here is Laura's sketch.....

I choose to only use two photos on my layout.

Products used Echo Park - Reflections, Graphic 45, Mister Huey's - Warm Calico mist, Quick Quotes - Powder Puff Chalking Ink, tags - Paper Studio and assorted paper tapes.

The sponsors for the January 1st layout are Frosted Designs and Scrapmatts. This is a cross promotional challenge with Frosted Designs, Stuck?! is providing the sketch and Frosted Designs is asking us to use ink, mist and/or paint on our layouts! Be sure to play along and link up your creations before then end of the month.

Best Wishes for a Healthy and Happy 2014 everyone!

Name Tags/Table Settings

Every year for Christmas we like to make different Name Tags/Table Settings for our family Christmas dinner. I thought I would share what we created for this year. When my daughter and I went to Scrapfest in Oshawa in the fall, we picked up a die to use in the Cuddlebug. The die is called YNS Lollipop Cover by Your Next Step. Here is what we created!

My Mom had painted the little stain glass ornaments a few years ago and wanted to use them on something. They were a nice festive touch to the Lollipop covers and it was a great way to use up some Christmas paper scraps. I can't wait to create some for other occasions....birthdays, Easter, Hallowe'en etc....

Have a safe New Years Eve!

Nice List

I have another Christmas layout to share with you today. I created this layout from a sketch over at Scrapmuch? Sketch-y Friday  Week 3.

For my layout I used the Scrapmuch? December Kit Club papers - Carta Bella - So this is Christmas. The colours of these papers are perfect!

We were finally able to get a "Mall Santa" photo taken....and it is adorable!

Here are some closeups.....

The little gems in the kit where perfect to accent the tree on the paper.

One of my new favourite ribbons is this lovely organza!!! I used it on a lot of my Christmas projects this year!

I received the little wooden tree in a surprise Christmas gift in the mail from a close friend. I added some ZAZZ! to add some sparkle.....thanks C!

And here is the Scrapmuch? Sketch-y Friday Week 3 sketch.....

As you can see I changed things up quite a bit to suit my papers and photo! Have a great day!

Grandbabies

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas....we sure did at the Ross Household!

Today I would like to share a layout I created for Scrapmuch? Sketch-y Friday Week 4. I created this layout at the Scrapmuch? Fall Retreat.....it was one of the challenges at the retreat.

Here is my layout......

This picture was taken at my Mom's 84th Birthday party. It is tradition to take pictures of each generation with my Mom at her birthday celebrations each year.

And here are some detail shots.....

This is Laura's Sketch-y Friday sketch......

All of the product used in my layout is My Mind's Eye - Collectable. The letters are Thickers.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Good Morning on a beautiful Christmas Eve Day.....today I would like to share a layout that I created from a kit that I won at the Scrapmuch? Scrapink Fundraiser Crop back in September. The kit is from Basic Grey and is a Summer 2013 Retailer Kit Designed by: Kelly Goree. There are supplies and instructions in the kit to make 6 layouts. Here is the first one that I have created, called Santa Claus.

This picture was taken a couple of years ago when the boys got to meet Santa at the Scotland Optimist Horse drawn sleigh rides. It was a very cold night, but we all enjoyed the festivities.

Here are some closeups.......

Sorry for the shadows....the sun was shining brightly into my kitchen this morning.....and I am not complaining....we haven't seen the sun shine much lately in Southern Ontario!!!!

I am entering this layout in the Scrapmuch?  December Colour Challenge. Here are the colours for that challenge.....

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas....may we all feel the excitement of sharing time with family and friends during this blessed season! Happy Holidays!

Happy December....It most certainly is my most favourite time of the year!

Today I am sharing my December 1, DT Layout for the Stuck?! Design team. Laura provided us with another fabulous sketch. I choose to create my layout with a photo of my three wonderful children. Her gardens are fantastic!
