Isabel - Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop

It is the last Friday of the month and it is time for Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop. Every month we have a blog hop to highlight using up our stash. We encourage to dig dip in your stash and use something that you have had for more than a year.

You should have arrived here from Susie's blog, but if you want to start from the beginning the entire list is at the bottom.

Here is my layout that I created with some lovely Crate Paper stash....

Miss Isabel is so tiny and sweet. She will jump and sit inside any empty box, basket, or bag. This yellow laundry basket just matches her tabby calico markings and yellow eyes perfectly!!!

I layered up some already cut pieces on my background, added a few Crate Paper die cuts, October Afternoon Tin Pin, thread, Crafty Medley sequins, Glitter Thickers, stitching and Iridescent water colour splatters.

I was inspired by The Memory Nest Make It Monday No. 52 sketch.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Use Your Stuff - Challenge 208 to use Sequins or Glitter
and
Paper Play Sketches -Anythng goes from ant sketch from any source.

Next up is Wendi. Hop on over to her blog and see what she made this month.

Here is the entire list....

Happy Hopping!!!

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. It is time for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. Once again the theme for January is New Beginnings and this weeks challenge is Anything Goes!

Here is my layout...

I choose to do a school photo layout of my grandson. He has just started Grade 1 and he loves it. He loves every new subject and he has even joined the Junior Choir. So many new beginnings at the beginning of school life. It is refreshing when they enjoy learning.

Here are some closeups....

I did a dry brush paint effect on my background and then stamped my favourite stamp in the top corner.

I had lots of fun with the Echo Park stickers.

A few buttons to add some dimension.

Product List - Echo Park papers and stickers. Buttons are from my stash.

I was inspired by the following sketch from Sketches In Thyme sketch #180.

And also by the Anything Goes Challenge #58 at Scrapping 4 Fun Challenges

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Blog and check out the rest of the Design Team's creations and then link your up by the end of the month for a chance at a fabulous prize.

Today I would like to share a layout I created with my Grandson's school photo.

Isn't he adorable?

Here are some closeups....

I scattered around some fun stickers and buttons.

I did a little painting on my background to add to the school days effect!

All the papers are Echo Park - Teacher's Pet which I won from Marcia Dehn-Nix for commenting on her blog. Thanks Marcia.

I was inspired by the sketch at Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge. I fliped it to suite my papers and photo.

I was also inspired by the following challenges:

The World At Your Fingertips - ScrapMuch? DT Reveal

I am back again with my second Design Team post of the day....this time for ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday.

Here is my layout....

Again we are stepping back to Thanksgiving weekend last fall. Ashley took these photos of Aiden while we walked home from the fair. The trees in our neighbourhood were putting on such a beautiful show. The middle and the photo on the right are of our mighty Maple tree in our front yard. One photo from the north side and the other from the south...same tree and completely different colours.
Ashley's photos are so clever on how it looks like Aiden is holding the trees in his hand.

Here are some closeups....

I added some ink to the Fab Scraps tree to blend in the fall colours and to make the trunk brown.

Some stitching to highlight and to help keep the alpha in place.

Here is Laura's wonderful sketch....

Product List - Carta Bella - Fall Blessings paper, alpha & stickers, Doodlebug Designs Alpha, Fab Scraps Tree, Little Yellow Bicycle wood shapes, Offray Ric Rac and the washi, buttons, stick pin & ribbon are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your weekend! Stay Crafty!!!

Goodtimes - Stuck?! DT Reveal

Wow...can you believe that it is the middle of January already? Time for the Stuck?! Sketches January 15th Design Team Reveal.

Here is my layout....

These photos were taken last fall at our local Fair while we waited in the grandstand for the Demolition Derby to begin. Ashley had fun taking selfies with the boys. Mason makes so many adorable faces that were perfect for this sketch.

Here are some closeups.....

I had fun with stencils and stamps and paint. I used a clock stencil with Tim Holtz Texture Paste with a drop of Espresso craft paint to get just the right colour. I overlaped the stencil on the area that I had already stamped. Then I layered up some fun embellishments.

Here shows my paint splatters and some enamel dots.

More layering of stamps and chipboard elements.

A fun title clustered with more embellies.

Here is Laura's fabulous sketch....

Product List - Bazzill embossed cardstock, Basic Grey - Hey Boy 6X6 paper pad, alpha & embellies, Basic Grey - Knee Highs & Bowties Brads & embellies, Basic Greay - Hey You chipboard, Echo Park enamel dots, Dazzle It  Hemp, American Crafts Sun-Kissed Thickers, Tim Holtz Ranger Texture Paste & Inks.

I was also inspired by the following challenges - Archi-scraps and the challenge is to use something with water -  This might be water colour paint, misting spritzes or any other wet medium.
 and Use Your Stuff -Brads

Day 10, my daughter & I created Save the Date cards for her upcoming wedding.
Day 11, Mason discovers his favourite one of Nana's noise toys!!!

Day 12 - Visit with Santa at our local parade celebrations.

Day 19 - creating name place/table favours.
Day 20 - Ross Family Christmas.

Family Love

I have a post for you today....I couldn't wait to share this one.

This photo was taken of the five of us on Christmas Day. An awesome memory!

Here are some closeups...

I didn't like how this metal embellie was raised...so I took it out to the garage and hammered it flat on the garage floor!

Here is the sketch from Let's Get Sketchy - January Week 1.

Product List - Crate Paper background paper, Bo Bunny - Heritage papers, stickers, die cuts and chipboard, Zva Creative adhesive pearls. Washi from Little B and my stash. The metal embellie is from my stash as well. I also splatter Yasutomo Iridescent paint on the background.

O Christmas Tree - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

Happy Friday and New Year everyone. I am back with my second post of the day. This time for the ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal. Since it is the First Friday of January, it is time for a double layout reveal.

Here is my layout...

These photos were taken in 2014 in our search for the "Perfect Christmas Tree".

Here is each page....

And some closeups....

I started out with some stamping on the background. Three different stamps and three different Tim Holtz Distress Inks on Bazzill embossed cardstock.

My title is a Silhouette cut file.

The little trees and stars are the leftovers from some table favours I made for Christmas Day. They fit right into my layout perfectly.

Other products used are MME - Holly Jolly (I have been hoarding this paper), Simple Stories frame and Darice stars. The star clip & buttons are from my stash. I did some upcycling on this layout with the tag and plaid ribbon. Both are from seasonal items that I purchased for our home. I knew they would come in handy.

Here is Laura's amazing sketch...

Make sure you visit the ScrapMuch? Blog to see what the rest of the team created and then link up your projects by January 29th for a chance to win a prize.

Thanks for stopping by....Happy New Year everyone! Stay Crafty!!!
