More Calendar Layouts

As promised yesterday, I am back today to share more of the layouts that I created from the 2014 MME calendar. Here we go....

This first layout was one of the first few months of the calendar that I had not previously completed as stated in yesterday's post. It was a very girlish papers, so perfect to add our Girlie's photo to the layout. This photo was taken Christmas Day just after she told everyone that she had become Engaged on Christmas Eve.
I cut off some of the background papers and added it to this fun bicycle paper with green glitter swirls on the side. Added some stitching, lace, date stamp, Thickers and journaling and another one complete.

This one is from the month of July and shows the boys waving their Canadian flags and donning their Canadian t-shirts to celebrate Canada Day 2014. For this one, again I trimmed up the background paper, and mounted it on this fun diagonal red gingham. I added some chevron stamping on the background, machine stitching and Thickers to complete the layout.

And the last one that I am sharing with you today is from the month of August on the calendar. This photo was taken at my Mom's 86th birthday when our entire family was home for the celebration. Even Molly, our dog is in the photo (even though she is facing us...lol). Again a little trimming on the background, I cut around the chevron at the bottom, added a little ribbon, twine and Thickers to complete another layout.

Thanks for stopping by....if you missed the first part of my calendar pages, you can find the original post  HERE....and there is a giveaway!!!

I will post some more of my calendar layouts in a couple of days....Stay Crafty!!!

Well Friday has rolled along again...thank goodness. I have the day off today, so Friday is even better than normal for me. To add to the greatness of the day, it is time to share my ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Design Team Reveal.

Today's layout and sketch is a double as there was an extra Friday in January, so this actually is the first sketch for February.

Here is what I created....

This is a very special layout about some very special people....

A close up of each page....

The photo on the right is of the entire wedding party and is one of the photographer's photos.

These shots are random ones that people took of Sara & Kevin enjoying the day!

And some detail shots....

Instead of circles, I choose to use hearts which I cut with my Silhouette from Vellum.
My title is one of my favourite sayings and I used a Silhouette cut file for it

Products used - MME paper - Bohemia & Lost & Found Lines & Vellum
Dazzle It feathers
Petaloo - Color Me Crazy flowers & Floral Embellishments
Recollection - Floral Embellishments
Michaels - Rhinestones

Here is Laura's fabulous sketch...

Scrapping Our Stash Monthly Blog Hop

Hello friends! Happy Friday!  You should have arrived here from Laura's  blog at http://scrapaddict4life.blogspot.com/ but if not you can start at the beginning. See the list below.

Today is the last Friday of the month and I am thrilled to be joining in with Scrapping our Stash Blog Hop!!!  For this month the theme is "anything goes" and I am going to share a few layouts that I created from my 2014 MME Calendar kit.

Since 2014 was over, I decided to take each month and create layouts with them....I trimmed some of the background parts off and mounted them on similar MME paper. I have a ton of that in my stash that I have been saving....hoarding....no saving for quite some time! It is after all some of my favourite papers!

Here is the first layout that I created....

I purchased this kit in about March or April of last year for a mere $5 and hadn't actually completed the first 3 or 4 months. I just did a month at a time and added a current photo. This is one of the first months that I had not completed. The colours suited this photo perfectly that I took of my grandson when we were in search of the perfect Christmas tree. To complete the layout I added some twine, brads and a Thickers title and voila....a completed layout.

This next one was from the month of November. Our wedding anniversary is in November and so I printed off a picture of my hubby from 1978 when we were dating. Again to complete the layout, I trimmed the background portion off, mounted it on a MME from my stash. Added some buttons, brads and some machine stitching along with more Thickers, for layout number two!

For the third layout that I am going to share today, it is another one of the pages from the first few months. Again, I trimmed the background, mounted on another paper from my hoarded stash, added some extra embellies and Thickers and a lovely picture of my grandson on Christmas Day. Presto....three layouts.

I will share the other 9 layouts on another post in the near future. Stay tunned.

I would love to hear what you think of my creations. I will be offering a RAK that will be drawn randomly from anyone who becomes a follower (either by email, Goggle follower, bloglovin or Network Blogs) and leaves a comment below. Sorry, due to the cost of postage, this will be limited to Canada and the United States only.  I will make the draw on February 7th.
Thanks for stopping by, now hop on over to Christine's blog at http://scrappingwithchristine.blogspot.com  and see what she created!!!

The Help

Yesterday I attended a ScrapMuch? crop and had a fabulous time with family and friends. I also finished almost 6 layouts....two for fun and the rest are DT reveals, so you will have to wait to see those.

Today I am sharing one of the for fun layouts.....

Last fall one weekend when the boys came for a sleepover, they were very happy to help Papa clean up the front yard leaves. We have A LOT of mature trees on our property which means A LOT of leaves to clean up in the fall! The boys thought it was great fun, hopefully they still feel that way in a few years when we get older and will really need their help!!!
The top picture makes me laugh every time I look at it. Mason wanted to get in one of the bags, but couldn't stand up in it, so I put it over his head...he then asked, "Nana, can you see me?" LOL!!! Can you see him?

Here are some closeups....
I used that fabulous circle stamp again that I purchased last fall at the ScrapMuch? sale! For sure my best buy!!! I then cut a heart from some corrugated cardboard that was packing in the box of our son's BBQ! Fabulous for using to make shapes or tags!

All my papers, stickers and layered chipboard are Echo Park except for the frames around the photos that are cut from AC Cardstock. I layered up some stickers and chipboard with a light bulb clip from The Paper Studio.

More layering of stickers and chipboard.

I used the new sketch by Laura Whittaker for Boy's Rule Scrapbook Kits as inspiration.

I was also inspired by the Lessology Challenge #43 to use discarded cardboard. Although my piece is small....it is there!

And Use You Stuff Challenge #169 to use Geometric Shapes - I used circles and squares.

Have a wonderful Sunday and stay crafty!!!

Remainder of 2015 Calendar

Well I am back this morning with the rest of my 2015 Calendar share....for a quick recap....

Last Saturday I attended a crop and I was so very, very productive. It was extremely cold here and I didn't want to cart a lot of things in and out in the cold. So I gathered up some "kit" type items and headed to the crop. Last fall I picked up a Recollections 2015 Calendar Kit,- the kind that comes with pre-made background and elements that you put together with your own photos. Well by lunch time I had it all completed and I thought I would share the remainder with you today.

Here is July....

Family photo taken last July at my Mom's 86th birthday party when all of our children were home. I added the twine, washi and button on the left hand corner of the photo.

For August, the Grandsons enjoying the hot tub. Awesome that this page has the giant "R" for Ross, just like we have hanging by the hot tub.

For September me and Hubby on my birthday. Very appropriate September page with the Hot Air Balloons!

For October, Sara & the boys at the farm where we bought our pumpkins for Hallowe'en!

For November....our Rockers!!! Love the flower cluster!

And for December, my Mom and Sara on Christmas Day. I changed up this page by adding bling to the Christmas trees rather than what was suggested in the kit.

I really, really like this calendar. I had a similar one for 2014. At the same crop, I took the pages and trimmed them up, added more embellishing and titles and have 12 pages done!

Stay tuned for those at a later post!

Stay crafty!

2015 Calendar - Clear Up

Today I have a different kind of post to share with you. Well by lunch time I had it all completed and I thought I would share half of it with you today.

Here we go...

Mason ringing in the New Year....I changed things up a bit by adding the 2015 to the January page.

For February the newly engaged couple.

For March....the boys listening to a movie with ear buds (I think it was a first!).

Justin's birthday for April...see a pink page does work for boys (and it matches my tablecloth!).

Gerry's birthday in May....again pink works well for all the males and Girlie in pink (and the same tablecloth-HA!).

Sara's birthday in June....fabulous colouring for a summer birthday!!!

Stay tuned tomorrow for the rest of the year's photos.

I am submitting this to The Studio Challenges and their challenge is Clear Up - to get those projects cleared up off your desk! This is one that I was so happy to complete. I was getting worried that month after month would go by and no completed calendar!

Have a wonderful Sunday and stay crafty!!!

The middle of January has rolled around and that means that it is time for the Stuck?! Sketches Design Team Reveal.

Snow Fort

Well the last few days have been freezing. The thermometer on the van driving to work the last two mornings has read -22 degrees celsius....now that is cold!!! So what better time to share a snow layout!

This picture is from Winter 1991 with our three children in a snow fort that we built as a family. Aren't they adorable?

Here are some closeups. I added some Me & My Big Ideas and Recollections bling to the snowflakes.

And some Art-C metal sticker snowflakes add to the dimension. All of the papers are Bo Bunny- Altitude. I fussy cut around some of the snowflakes and other pieces to layer things up.

I dug through my stash for these Making Memories shimmer alpha that matched the colours perfectly.

I used my Tim Holtz Tiny Tacker to add the Maya Road Metal Trinket snowflake to the top corner.

I used the Let's Get Sketchy - Week 2 sketch for my layout.
UPDATE - This layout was chosen as the Let's Get Sketch - Week 2 Fav!! Woo Hoo!!

And the ScrapMuch? Colour Challenge for my colour choices.

I was also inspired by The Paper Girls Challenge #71 - Sparkle & Shine
and Red Carpet Studios Challenge #85 and the challenge is to use something new (The Bo-Bunny paper line) and stars.

Thanks for stopping and stay warm!
