My husband’s first COVID birthday celebration which also fell on Mother’s Day, so we celebrated all day together!!!

100% AWESOME - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

  Happy Sunday everyone, it’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of using some of the words associated with summer to inspire our scrapbooking. Your layout doesn’t have to use the theme, just the wordplay!

 Summer hopefully brings the launch of all those seniors, so please use an item or technique that starts with the letters of this summer word: GRADS.

Here is my layout…

The items that I used are - G-green, R-ribbon, A-arrow, D-die-cut, S-stars! The die-cut is from Bella Blvd, as are all the pieces I used behind the die-cut. Background papers are Simple Stories. The stickers are a variety from Bella Blvd and Simple Stories.

We took these photos of our Angus while trying to give him a bath! We thought we would try it outside to see if he liked it any better….NOT! But he does love to be clean!

Rockton Fair - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

      Happy Sunday friends and especially Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms. It’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. For the month of May, our challenges will be Tic Tac Toe or Bingo. Here are the third week of Words.

This layout is from our adventure at the Rockton World Fair last October. Our daughter and son-in-law invited us to join them and it was an amazing day!!!

I choose to do the bottom row of the challenge - faux stitching (which is washi tape that appeared transparent but when added to the black pattern paper it went opaque and I couldn’t remove it as it was taking the patterned paper layers apart! Lesson learned!!!), 2 x patterned paper and twine. All the gorgeous papers and stickers are Graphic 45-come One Come All, AC Cardstock, 49 and Market washi and bling and twine from my stash.

How stinking cute is this? Soon as I saw the prompt with green, I knew exactly the photo I wanted to use for this challenge. I used the Left vertical row of green, 2 x pattern paper and bird! My papers are from Pebbles-Special Delivery, embellishments are all Citrus Twist Kits and the frames are Artisan Elements from Pink Paisley and Studio Calico alpha.

Cute- Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

 Happy Sunday everyone, it’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal.This month we will be celebrating some special days in March that you just might not know are special!

Today’s challenge is March 3rd is World Wildlife Day - create a layout and add an animal to it in some way. This can be an animal on your patterned paper, in your photo, or an embellishment.

*You do not have to scrap about an animal - but you can if you want to! Scrap a zoo trip, a pet, if someone you know has an animal nickname, you could scrap about how they got their nickname! Just some ideas!

Season’s Greetings - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

  Hello friends, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. It's time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. For December we will be revisiting some of our favorite Lasting Memories challenges from 2022.

According to Inlinkz - the months with the most participation were March with 73 entries (Love Your Stash Challenges), May with 51 entries (Wedding Inspired Challenges), and a tie for January and April - both with 34 entries (January - New Challenges/New Ideas and April - Shapes Challenge). So our challenges for December will be based on these themes.

Shapes (April 2022) - Create a layout and choose one of the following shapes to feature on it:

Triangles, circles, hearts, or hexagons

(this can be one big shape or lots of your chosen shape used multiple times across your layout - for example - a big circle on your background, or lots of different sized hearts all over your layout).

I created my special layout with triangles. A special picture of my Mom and daughter, I miss my Mom every day but especially at Christmas time. Adorable Little Man - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

  Hello friends, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. It's time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. For December we will be revisiting some of our favorite Lasting Memories challenges from 2022.

According to Inlinkz - the months with the most participation were March with 73 entries (Love Your Stash Challenges), May with 51 entries (Wedding Inspired Challenges), and a tie for January and April - both with 34 entries (January - New Challenges/New Ideas and April - Shapes Challenge). So our challenges for December will be based on these themes.

New Challenges/New Ideas (January 2022) Create a monochromatic layout and use black and white photos. Neutral colors are allowed (black, white, off-white, kraft, and grey).

Wedding Inspired (May 2022) - Create a layout and use something old, something new, something borrowed (either scraplift someone or use a sketch), and add something blue.

My newest grandson looking adorable. My daughter texted this pic and the message to me a few days after I had knee replacement surgery. So adorable!!!

I used Something Old - all the paper and embellishments, Something New - the baby, Something borrowed - I used the Freaky Friday Formula on the Scraproom Blog for September 2022 and Something Blue - the papers.

Explore - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

 Hello friends, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. It's time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are starting the challenges for December a little early. For December we will be revisiting some of our favorite Lasting Memories challenges from 2022.

According to Inlinkz - the months with the most participation were March with 73 entries (Love Your Stash Challenges), May with 51 entries (Wedding Inspired Challenges), and a tie for January and April - both with 34 entries (January - New Challenges/New Ideas and April - Shapes Challenge). So our challenges for December will be based on these themes.

 Love Your Stash (March 2022) - Create a layout and use 3 or more patterned papers, stickers (this can be any sticker - puffy, chipboard, or cardstock stickers), trim (washi tape, ribbon, twine, etc.), punches/die-cuts/ephemera, and finishing touches (enamel dots, brads, sequins, bling, splatters, etc.)

Here is my layout....

I used four patterned papers, puffy stickers, washi tape and ribbon, die-cuts/ephemera, and for the finishing touches, I used candy shoppe bubbles on my layout of my grandson trying out the diving board for the first time! In this layout, my grandson wanted to try jumping from the diving board on the fun day at swimming lessons. He bravely walked to the end of the board and then changed his mind and turned around on walked back off. We were so proud of him for trying!

The course was created with the theme of coast to coast across Canada, so I choose to use Canada theme papers and stickers from PhotoPlay and Simple Stories, the background paper is from Carta Bella. I also used Thickers, Tim Holtz Distress Ink and a Tiny Clip.

Storm Watchers - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

   Happy Sunday everyone, it is time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are continuing with the theme of sketches for the month of November.

When I saw this sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to do! I have so many embellishments and this sketch was perfect to use some of that stash! My husband and his sidekick were watching the summer storm come in! So I used some clouds, hearts and other embellishments to signify the wind that came up quickly with the storm!

Material list - American Crafts - Serendipity background paper, Citrus Twist - Studio Puffs, October Afternoon alpha and bits and pieces of embellishments and paper from the monthly Scrapbook and Cards Today Sampler Kits.

16 Candles - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

 Happy Sunday everyone, it is time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are starting a new theme for the month of November a little early. The theme for November is Sketches!

I love sketches, but some people find Sketch Challenges to be very difficult, let's see how you do with the challenge!

Here is the Sketch for this week...

And here is my layout.....

I choose to do a birthday layout of my oldest grandson who just turned 16! I used the DCWV Generation TECH Stack to create this layout as it suites his interests to a tee!!! I fussy cut some of the elements from the paper as well as cut out some of the sayings as embellishments. I added some wood veneer elements and Thickers to finish things off. I stayed fairly true to the sketch!
