Over the Edge Birthday Card

Today I would like to share with you a card I created for Boys Rule Scrapbook Challenge. The challenge is to create a layout (or project) with any element of it over the edge or off the page.....it's about creating without keeping in the space....overlapping elements and not perfectly aligned edges or elements, ....anything not perfect...

I chose to try this on a Birthday Card I was making for our Grandson's 7th Birthday. Take a look but don't show Aiden! LOL!

I used the new Fancy Pants - What a Wonderful Day line. The embossed cardstock is Core Impressions Jillibean Soup Collection. Letters - October Afternoon

Summer Time!

I have another post this morning for Scrapmuch?, this time for the Sketch-y Friday Week 1 Sketch.

Laura always provides a two page sketch for the first week of the month, which I love. Here is the sketch.....

And here is my layout. I had more pictures that I wanted to use so instead of one 4x6 landscape photo, I cut two down to fit in that space. Have a look.....

Have a wonderful weekend everyone....it is a beautiful summer day!

The Sky's the Limit

For this morning's post, I have a layout that I created using the August Kit Club Sketch for Scrapmuch? Here is the sketch....

I wanted to use the paper that came with the kit that had the hot air balloons on the top left corner (because I LOVE HOT AIR BALLOONS), so I changed things up a bit on my layout!

Take a look......

The title that came with the kit was perfect for my photos! Papa and Mason were having this tender moment recently at a family function. Without knowing what the two were talking quietly about, I snapped about 6 pictures, which are all awesome photos! To me it looks like Papa was telling Mason that the world is his to do and become whatever his little heart desires.....The Sky's the Limit.

I found out afterwards that Mason wanted to go play, so Papa said.....Go Play and the beautiful smiles returned!

Bear Hugs

I have another post today for the Week 1 Challenge at Let's Get Sketchy.

Here is the sketch that was provided.....

The sketch would be great for using up pieces out of your stash, but one of the designers, named Bev used Washi tape in her example. So I gave that a try!

Check it out!

I really enjoyed using my Washi Tape stash for this layout. I think it turned out great! I like how the red cardstock shows through on some of the tapes.

Two in a Minion!

I am very excited for today's post. My husband bought me an early birthday present....a new camera. I took my first layout picture with it...and sent it via wifi to my computer. How cool is that? I am impressed and I don't like technology, but I love my new camera!

Anyway...back to the post! Today I have a layout that I created from another Let's Get Sketchy sketch challenge, this one is August Week 3. You can check it out here.

Here is the sketch......

And here is my layout.....

Aren't they adorable!

I used the new Fancy Pants - What a wonderful Day line.

Girlie's Quarter Century!

Today I am sharing a double layout that I created using a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy (from July that I didn't get done in time to enter) and the adjoining page from July Sketchy Challenge for Canadian Scrapbooker (which again I did not complete on time-LOL). The two sketches were perfect to put together to make a double layout celebrating my daughter's 25th Birthday.

I created it with the colours from Scrapmuch? Colour Challenge which you can find here.

Here are the colours.....

And here is the layout I created....

#1 Dad

I have another post for today. I attended a crop on Saturday with Scrapmuch? and I was very productive. This post is for the Sketch-y Friday Week 2 sketch for Scrapmuch?

Here is the sketch.....

And here is my layout......

A proud Dad with 2 out of 3 of our children on Father's Day this year!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jack

Today I am sharing my layout for the Scrapmuch? Kit Club Challenge for August. The challenge is.... 'You Spin Me Right Round'! Show fun and creative ways to add a circular element or 3 to your page!
You can find all the details here.

My layout is of our cat, Jack who passed away suddenly in January. Jack was not even 3 years old. It was quite a shock, and took me some time to get over. Last year my Bestie bought me a Fat Max to haul my scrapping goodies to crops and retreats. Before I could put anything in it, Jack took it over. He even stayed in it long enough for me to get my camera and take this adorable picture. That's just the kind of little guy he was. I meant to scrap this photo months ago, but couldn't bring myself to do it. I hope you like it!

I also used the Let's Get Sketchy - Week 2 Sketch for my layout.

85 YEARS YOUNG!

Good Morning everyone, today I am thrilled to announce that I was chosen to be the Guest Designer for Scrapmuch? Sketch-y Friday. You can find all the information here

This is the sketch that Laura designed for me to create my layout!

Laura couldn't have created a better sketch for me if she tried. I take lots of pictures, so it was easy to use multiple photo shown on the sketch.

My layout is of my Mom’s 85 birthday party! We always have a birthday party for my Mom every year. Here is my layout!

Thanks once again to the wonderful ladies over at Scrapmuch? for giving me this opportunity!!!

Birthday Card

Today I want to share a card that I recently made for my Mom's 85th Birthday. My Mom & I went for a Hot Air Balloon ride for her 78th Birthday. It was a gift that the entire family went in on. I was the lucky one that was picked out of a basket to go on the ride with my Mom.
It is one of the top ten things of my list of things that I have done!
When we were about to land, I had discussed with my Mom that I would exit the balloon first. After all I was concerned with the fact that she was 78 years old. I quickly got up on my feet only to turn and see my Mom crawling out of the basket. She looked up at me and exclaimed....."THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!"
So with that story in mind, I think it self explains the card I created using the Scrapmuch? August Kit Club.

And here is the verse that I made up based on the words Eighty Five to suit my Mom.

Have a great day!
