Road Trip - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good Morning everyone, it is time for a new theme at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. We are starting the August challenges just a few days early. The theme for August is "Transportation" and today's challenge is Cars - show us one or more cars on your layout.

Here is my layout....

This photo was taken last year as we left for the cottage. We were all packed into the van and ready for a Road Trip!

Here are a couple of closeups....

I used my July Counterfeit Kit to create my layout. The background paper is from Echo Park - Jack & Jill and the rest of the papers, stickers and embellies are from MME - Happy Camper. The alphas are October Afternoon.

I used the Sketch #333 from Sketches In Thyme as my starting point. I reversed the location of the photos to suit my photos.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's creations. We would love to see what you create for this challenge.

Catching Up on December Daily

Good afternoon everyone, today I would like to share with you a couple of pages in my December Daily. I only have my journalling left and I was inspired by the sketches from Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style.

I attached my card to the back of my page.

Here is the Sketch #105 that I used for this card.

And here is my photo folder that will tuck into the pocket.

And the photo folder tucked in below.

December 9th was a busy day for us, so I created several pages to capture all of our fun activties.
Here is my second card attached to my page.

The sketch #106 that inspired me.

One of the photos from our local Santa Claus Parade.

And here it is tucked into place.

Amazing - Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good evening, I have another layout to share with you using my July Counterfeit Kit.

I used my Masculine Kit for this layout. I took these photos a few weeks ago while we were waiting for the boy's ball game to start. Papa was having fun balancing his coffee cup on the little man's head.

I just added a couple of other items like the owl paper and washi tape to my kit that I had out for another layout that I was creating.

Here is a closeup...

Be sure to check out the fun challenges at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. It is a great way to use up the items you have in your stash.

Nana's Helper - Scrapping4Fun GDT

Good day everyone. Today I would love to share a layout that I created as a Guest Designer at Scrapping4Fun Challenges. Here is today's challenge:- to use butterflies and flowers on your creation.

Here is my layout...

I created a double layout of my Grandson & I planting my raised veggie garden this spring. He just loves to garden and watch everything grow.

Here is each page close up...

Here are some closeups...

I created flower clusters by fussy cutting some flowers from one of the papers and I added a wood veneer butterfly.

This cluster is from a group of stickers and I used my butterfly punch and layered up two butterflies and attached them with a tiny staple.

I would like to thank Scrapping4Fun Challenges for inviting me once again to be a Guest Designer for this fun challenge.

Smile - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good Morning friends, it is time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. We are continuing with the theme for July of "All About Me" and today's challenge is Throwback to your glory days - Create a layout documenting a photo and/or story from the past. You may have a story that doesn't have an accompanying photo - no problem! Find a stock photo online of something to do with the memory, or set up a staged photo to represent the story. You can dig out the archives and scrap those baby pics of yourself too! Document an old memory you've been meaning to record.

Here is my layout....

I decided to do a photo of myself as a child. Here I am happily and proudly smiling with my new stuffed doggie! I believe that I am just over 2 years old and this is Christmas time by my outfit. I am actually standing on top of the freezer as this was the photo op spot when I was growing up!

Here are some closeups...

I was inspired by the Jump Start sketch from The ScrapRoom.

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations. We would love to see what you create with this challenge.

Margarita Party - Counterfeit Kit Challenge GDT

Good Morning everyone, today I am thrilled to share with you the First challenge for July over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge where I have been asked to be the GDT for July. And the challenge is called "Forget Me Not" and the details are as follows:
We all have them - those tools and embellishments that get pushed to the side and are collecting dust. Pull out those forgotten tools and embellishments and put them to use - punches, brads, buttons, ribbons, etc. Show those items some love again.

Here is my layout...

As the journalling and title suggests, we had a Margarita Party for my husband's birthday. We surprised him with a party as it was a week night and he didn't think anyone could attend. Two of our children were able to make it with their families. He was totally surprised.

Here is each page close up...

We did a Margarita theme party mainly because he was turning 59 and was born in 1959. So it was instead of a Champagne birthday for he would have had to celebrate that when he was 10 years old.

For the challenge I started out using a border punch that I cut three different patterned papers and layered them up across the bottom of my photo collage.

I also used my favourite ampersand punch and layered one over another with pop dots. I dusted off my Cuddlebug and some old lettering dies and created the title. The font is perfect for the theme of my layout.

The papers that I gathered for my Summer Fun Counterfeit Kit are just perfect for this layout.

Lots of fun embellishments finishes off the challenge.
I hope you are able to get some inspiration from my layout. Be sure to check out the Design Team's creations over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog.

WOW! - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good Morning Everyone, I hope that you are all enjoying your summer as much as I am. I am presently on holidays and it doesn't get any better than that. Since today is Sunday, it is time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We have a new theme for July called All About Me and today's challenge is to document your job.

Here is my layout...

I work for the largest telecommunications company in Canada and I recently celebrated my 30 years of service Anniversay! Wow! What can I say? We have gone from basic telephone service to providing telephone, internet and TV all with one little fibre cable.
My new boss surprised me with a little lunch party. He is so sweet that he invited all the old gang to celebrate with the new gang. I was totally surprise! It was awesome!!!

When I saw sketch 331 from Sketches In Thyme, I knew that I wanted to use it for this layout. I wanted to mimic how Bell advertises with their logo randomly in the background.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out the rest of the team's designs. We would love for you to share with us what you have created for this challenge.

I used up some of the Bo Bunny papers that I have in my May Counterfeit Kit.

Father's Day

Good Evening everyone, there is a promise of rain tonight and that it will cool down the over 30 degree temperatures that we have had for over a week now. I have my fingers crossed.

I would like to share a layout with you tonight using my Masculine Kit that I created from my GDT over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge.

I snapped this photo of my Son and Grandson on Father's Day. What a couple of sweeties!

Here are some closeups...

I was inspired by the sketch from Lets Get Sketchy.

Party

Hello everyone, I am back today to share another layout that I have created with my July Counterfeit Kit. I am on vacation and it is too hot to do much of anything outside, so the perfect opportunity to get to my kit.

Today's layout is using my Birthday kit....

Birthday number 59....age is just a number.

I was inspired by the July 1st sketch from Citrus Twist Kits. I changed it up a bit to add the 3rd photo and I did it 12x12 not 8 1/2 x 11.
