SPRING BLOSSOMS - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday DT Reveal

Happy Friday Everyone! That means it is time for the ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Design Team Reveal.

Here is my layout...

I took these adorable photos of Justin and his boys back in May. This shrub was blooming so beautifully, I just had to snap their photos. It was actually spitting rain, but the photos turned out perfectly. It shows how they all are blossoming!

Here is a closeup of each page....

And some detail shots - this one showing one of my favourite embellies to make!

For the title I used two different alphas as I didn't have enough of just one. I think it turned out well with the mixture.

I popped the top of the butterfly's wings to add some depth.

Here is Laura's fabulous sketch! This is one of my favourite double sketches!!! It went together so smoothly!

Product List - Background Paper - Adorn It, Echo Park - Jenni Bowlin - Studio paper and stickers, October Afternoon Alphas, K & Co rhinestores and the buttons are from my stash.

Be sure to stop by to see the rest of the ScrapMuch? Design Team's creations and then link yours up by the 29th of August for a chance at a fabulous prize!

Thanks for stopping by and for my friends in Canada have a wonderful long weekend! Stay Crafty!!!

The Minion Movie

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure to experience the new Minion Movie on the opening weekend with our Son, "Daughter-In-Law" and two Grandsons....we had a BLAST!!!!

We started the day off with the boy's booster day for 3-Pitch, then to Mc D's for a quick lunch and then off to the matinee movie showing. Here is my layout.....

Since we had decided to see the movie in 3D, Papa just had to go and buy the boys the Minion 3D googles....are they just the funniest?

Here is each page closeup.....

This fun Minion was a gift a couple of years back from my scrappy friend, Laura and I knew this layout would be the perfect place to use it. You can make your own with Laura Whitaker's fabulous freebie cut file that you can find here.

The Minions below are fussy cut from a bandaid package which I layered over a punched heart and one of our movie tickets.

The other little Minions are from that quick lunch that I told you about. I fussy cut them from the Nugget Kid's meal box....I think they are the perfect embellie for the hearts that I made from punches.

On this cluster I added the lettering 3D. This was the first 3D movie that my husband & I had experienced.

I used a WeR Memory Keeper Sew Stamper to make my XOXOXO circles and layered Thickers over another one of the movie tickets.

I was inspired by the double sketch for July from Stick It Down - it suited my photos just perfectly!

Product list - Amy Tangerine - Hello Doily stitched paper, My Mind's Eye papers, Thickers, WeR Memory Keepers - Sew Stamper and square clips from my stash.

I would like to thank Ashley for taking these AWESOME photos and sharing with me....without them we couldn't relive these moments over and over!!! XOXOXO

Thanks for stopping by! Stay Crafty!!!

You Are My Sunshine

Well it is a hot, humid, rainy day here today....so what better time to share a SUNSHINE layout!

Here Mason & I are snuggling at the end of our fun day at a water park last summer. It had started to cool down, so we are snuggling to warm up.

Here are some closeups....

The title is a free cut file from 17 Turtles.

I had two pieces of this Jillibean Soup paper so I fuzzy cut out the orange and yellow sun bursts and popped them up with some foam tape and then machine stitched some of the other sun bursts.

All of the products I used are Jillibean Soup except the word Awesome which is MME and the buttons, brad and twine are from my stash.

I was inspired by the sketch from My Scraps & More Sketches #209.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge to use the word Awesome somewhere on your creation.

Although it is a rainy day on vacation, that is still better than any day at work!!

Stay Crafty!!!

Happy 40th Anniversary Card

I have another quick card post for you today....Our BESTIES celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on the weekend. Here is the card that I made for them.....

Inside the door that opens it says 40th (strange that I didn't take a photo of that).

I used pieces of AC Cardstock, MME papers and October Afternoon alphas.

My Bestie called so happy yesterday after receiving the card in the mail. She gave me so much thanks and praise, but the Silhouette cut files deserves all the praise!

I am entering this in the challenge at Silhouette Challenges #27 - Anything Goes
and
Shopping Our Stash - SOS # 210 - Paper Piecing

the inspiration challenge at House of Cards - I was inspired by the colours.

Once Again I would like to wish a Very Happy 40th Anniversary to our Besties!!! XOXOXO
