Beautiful - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Today I have a special layout for you....the first of my Beautiful Daughter's Wedding layouts. The inspiration photo for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal is just perfect for the first layout!

Here is the Lasing Memories inspiration photo which continues with the August theme of colours.

And here are some closeups of my layout....

I painted up the "Beautiful" title from Creative Embellishments with light pink acrylic paint and highlighted with metallic water colours.

I also painted up the Recollections paper icon heart the same way. I stamped the background with my favourite script stamp using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Antique Photo. I also added some TH texture medium with my favourite script stencil and blotted on some TH Distress Ink in Vintage Linen when dry.

I painted up the Blue Fern Studios Bits of Honey with a two shades of Metallic water colours. Then I layered over my stamping with a flower cluster made from Recollection burlap flowers and Pink Paislee - Bella Rouge flower over Recollection lace stickers.

I also wanted to share with you how I popped up my photo and papers. I always save my chipboard punch out pieces which I used to attach to the back of the photo and papers to add some dimension.

Product List: Teresa Collins paper, Dove Craft - Floral Muse 6x6 paper pack.
Photo - Luxarte Studios

I used the  August Week 3 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for my layout....

Summer Lovin

I have another layout to share with you today....

I took this photo on Canada Day at the Butterfly Conservatory with the creative setting on my camera. It makes the photo appear like an oil painting. I love how the waterfall behind the boys shows up line by line.

Here are some closeups...

I used The Around My Heart  & Let's Do Summer cut files from The Cut Shoppe for my background and title.

I added some die cuts and layered up one of the hearts at the top for some dimension.

I layered up three different papers under my photo to make it pop off the page.

All of my papers and die cuts are from Jillibean Soup.

I used the sketch from Creative Scrappers as my starting point.

Canada Day 2016 - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone....the hot weather is still hanging on here in Southern Ontario. We got a bit of rain Friday night which was very nice to see!

Now it is time for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. The theme for August is Who is into the new hot Adult Coloring Trend??   All of August challenges have to do with COLOR or COLORING. Today's challenge is Black & White with one colour added.

Here is my layout....

I choose to use red as my other colour. My background paper is actually white but looks blue in my photos! These photos where taken on July 1, Canada Day this year.

Here are some closeups....

For this cluster I used a Teresa Collin's vellum clock that I fussy, a fun chipboard stop sign and a dollar store Canada pin.

My title is cut from Sizzix dies. I love this lettering.

I added some stamping to the background.

Product List - AC Cardstock, Teresa Collin's papers and vellum clocks, Fancy Pants corrugated paper.
