Happy Hump Day everyone...we are half way through the work week...Woo Hoo! I for one cannot wait until Friday.
For today, I would like to share with you how Two Great Sketches = One Awesome Double Layout!!!
Here we go...

Our youngest Grandson knew he wanted to try climbing the rock wall as soon as he saw it. And to the top he went with very little coaxing!!!

Here are some closeups...

I was inspired by the Clique Kits Sketch for September.

And now for the second sketch...

Here he is on the way down....zip line style!!!

And some closeups....

For side two, I was inspired by Leslie's amazing sketch from

Put them together....

I loved how the two sketches had linear parts to their design. Perfect for my arrow paper one side to show Up and the other side Down.

And there you have it...an Awesome Double Layout!

Happy - Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge

It is another hot September day...summer is hanging on just wonderfully! The weather man says we will have these above average temperatures for the rest of the week...Woo Hoo!!!

I have a special layout to share with you today...

I had the privilege to compete for the summer issue of Creative Scrapbooker and to top that, I got the cover. This photo is from the first time that we saw it on a store shelf. My husband was a sweetie and took my picture. I was so very HAPPY!!!

Here are some closeups...

I wanted to use similar papers and colouring in my layout as I used on the cover layout, so I broke open my stash of Jillibean Soup papers and die cuts. I added a couple of wood veneer pieces from my stash, Pink Paislee artisan frames and Thickers. I used a freebie cut file from Paper Issues.

And what a perfect way to add this to my memories but to be inspired by a Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge.

Thanks Again Creative Scrapbooker...you know how to make a girl Happy!

Good Saturday morning everyone...and a beautiful one it is.

I have a layout to share with you this morning....

Here is my hubby trying out a new beach chair that we bought. A chair that requires no pump, you just swirl it around and it fills up with air.

THE FLOWERS - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good Sunday morning everyone, A fabulous one I might add as it is my birthday!!!

It is time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. We are continuing with the theme of "All About Patterns" and today's challenge is Floral. Use floral paper on your layout.

Here is my layout...

What better subject to use floral paper with than flowers....Wedding flowers.
We used a florist from our village for our daughter's wedding. The designer invited us over to have a look at the flowers the day before the wedding. They were absolutely beautiful!!!

Here is each page closer up....

My daughter wanted a Rustic look for the centerpieces. I have many antique wooden boxes, so the florist placed the flowers in Mason jars and then in the boxes. They were stunning.

Here are some closeups...

A couple of little flower clusters for embellishing.

I added a journalling tag inside of a clear bag for private thoughts.

The heart circle in the background is a Freebie Silhouette cut file from Juliana Micheals

I was inspired by the double sketch from Stick It Down. It was just perfect for my many photos.

Product List: Pink Paislee paper & Artisan Words, Crate Paper - Little You paper, American Tag Co. tag, Fancy Pants alpha, Prima flowers, Nuvo Jewel Drops, Ribbon Boutique - organza ribbon, Aria ribbon and some of the flowers are from my stash.

Be sure to visit the Lasting Memories Blog to check out what the rest of the Design Team created. You have until the end of September to show us your floral paper designs.
