SUNSHINE - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! It’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are continuing with our theme for September of - Out of your comfort zone.

We all have our own scrapbook style.  We tend to repeat certain elements, colours, and even layout designs.  This month, let's move out of our comfort zone.  These challenges won't be too specific because each person will need to evaluate their own scrapbooking and do something different from their typical layouts.

Today’s challenge is - tools - we all have tools in our craft rooms that we never use.  Perhaps you bought the latest punch board but it's still in the wrapper or your cricut is collecting dust.  Let's pull out those tools and put them to use this week!

Here is my layout…

I used a stencil and distress ink to make it look like water is splashing. I also used a border punch on this layout of my grandsons having a “Whale of a Good Time” in the pool. These are both tools that I haven’t used in some time!

Material list - AC Cardstock and everything else is Echo Park except the Fun In the Sun sub-title which is Recollections.

Heritage - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good Morning Friends, it is time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are continuing with the theme for the September called Out of your comfort zone.

We all have our own scrapbook style.  We tend to repeat certain elements, colors, and even layout designs.  This month, let's move out of our comfort zone.  These challenges won't be too specific because each person will need to evaluate their own scrapbooking and do something different from their typical layouts.

Today’s challenge is - embellishments - we tend to stick to the same embellishments on our layouts.  Perhaps you use mostly stickers and chipboard but rarely use wood veneer.  Maybe you're obsessed with enamel dots and don't use flair or washi.  For this week, choose embellishments that you rarely use.

Here is my layout…

This is a photo of my husband’s grandmother. She is the girl standing in the back of the photo! I just love old family photos! So much history!!!

So basically everything on this layout is part of the challenge! It’s been forever since I’ve done any stamping on a layout, which is perfect for a vintage look. I also added some lace to the bottom of the photo, which I haven’t done in a long time either. The paper is from an ArtC Collage pack, which I bought a few of these many moons ago and never even opened any of them, so I think this is perfect for the challenge as well! I fussy cut some of the die cuts to eliminate the white extra around them as I don’t think that looks good on a vintage layout and then created a cluster with them. Lastly I added a wood veneer key, another element that I have not used much lately!

Material list - ArtC collage elements pack, Celebrate It ribbon, Creative Embellishments title, doily, wood veneer, tag and lace are from my stash.

Celebrate- Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday everyone! We had a wonderful family time yesterday hosting the annual yard sale and it just happened to be on my birthday! Good times spent with family! It’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal . We are continuing with the theme for September of - Out of your comfort zone.

We all have our own scrapbook style.  We tend to repeat certain elements, colors, and even layout designs.  This month, let's move out of our comfort zone.  These challenges won't be too specific because each person will need to evaluate their own scrapbooking and do something different from their typical layouts.

Today’s challenge is - pattern - think about your layouts and the patterned papers you tend to use and go outside of your comfort zone.  Do you typically begin with a solid color background or a patterned paper background? Do you tend to go with smaller patterns or large bold patterns?   For this layout, use the opposite of your normal patterns.

Here is my layout…

I normally tend to stay away from glittery papers, which these papers are (hard to see in the photo). I love them, but stay away from them because I am a hands on crafter and I get covered! I think these papers work great with the photo. It goes great with the foliage in the background!

Material list - We R Memory Keepers paper, Simple Stories paper, I fussy cut most of the flowers from the We R paper and the others are from my stash, Crafts - self adhesive pearls, The Paper Studio gemstones and Creative memories die cut title.

Game On! - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good Morning friends, can you believe that it September already? The year is just flying by! It’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. We are starting a new theme for September called - Out of your comfort zone.

We all have our own scrapbook style.  We tend to repeat certain elements, colors, and even layout designs.  This month, let's move out of our comfort zone.  These challenges won't be too specific because each person will need to evaluate their own scrapbooking and do something different from their typical layouts.

Today’s challenge is - colour - we all have colours that we dislike or find difficult to scrap with.  Perhaps yellow isn't your cup of tea, or you find purple difficult to use.  Choose a color and use it as the main color on your layout (you may include other colors as well).

Here is my layout…….

Lime green is not one of my favourite colours, but it works nicely for this layout!

Material list - My Minds Eye - Lil' Robot paper and chipboard, Thickers.
