Good Morning everyone, it is time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. Today we are starting a new theme a little early for the month of May. The theme is "Variety of Shapes" and today's challenge is stars.

Here is my layout....

This is my little Super Star's baseball photo from 2017. The season is just about ready to start again and we can't wait!!!

Here is a closeup of some of the stars and my title. I cut the stars with my Silhouette and made my own pattern to frame the photo. I added some doodles around the larger stars to make them pop!

Product List: AC Cardstock, Allstar 6x6 paper pad by Prima, star stickers from Citrus Twist Kits and I purchased the title last weekend at Scrapfest.

Make sure you stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out what the rest of the team came up with for this challenge. We would love to see your creations, so be sure to link up before the end of May.

Life Is Good - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good morning friends, it is time for the newest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team Reveal. We are continuing with the theme for April of "All About the Paper". Today's challenge is to create your own background paper. Start with solid cardstock and use mixed media, paint and/or sprays, tie die it, stamp it etc....

Here is my layout...

Another photo taken the last day at the cottage. Such fun memories!!!

I have lots of photos to share of how I created my background paper....

I sprayed red and yellow Mister Huey's spray mists onto a plastic bag. I wanted the red and yellow to mix together to make more shades.

I dipped a piece of bubble wrap in the paints and then applied to my cardstock.

Then I prepared some Tim Holtz's texture paste with a drop of black acrylic paint to apply the brick stencil. Once dried I dabbed a baby wipe in white and green paint to make a more textured look to both the stencilled bricks and background.

A couple of circles stamped completed my background.

Lots of layers under my photo completed the layout.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out the rest of the team's creations.
We would love to see what you create, so be sure to share with us.

I was also inspired by the challenge at Mixed Media Monthly Challenge - Color Wheel

I used Red & Green.

My Dad - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Welcome back to another Lasting Memories Layout Challenges Design Team reveal. Since it is April 1st we have a new theme called "All About the Paper". Today's challenge is to try a new paper technique on your layout (paper weaving, paper folding, quilling, paper lollies, rolled paper flowers, paper fringe etc.)

Here is my layout, I chose to try paper weaving.....

This picture of my Dad is from the 1940's. I just love these old photos. I also loved the way my layout turned out. I think the paper weaving is the perfect background for this vintage photo.

Here are some closeups...

I anchored down the weaving with some machine stitching on the background paper that I first added a bit of stamping with a handwriting stamp.

A few simple embellishments and paint splatters to finish things off!

Product List: Kaisercraft background paper, BoBunny-Heritage Collection 6x6 paper pad, chipboard and buttons.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog to check out the rest of the team's creations. We would love to see what you create with this challenge.
