December Memories

Hello everyone, I have been busy working on Christmas layouts and thought I would share one with you today.

It was wonderful to be able to enjoy a long lasting tradition on Christmas Day with my Sister’s family after being separated last year due to the pandemic! Being together is wonderful! My Sister took these photos of my husband and I together in front of her tree!

I was inspired by the challenge from Challenge Yourself about working together.

Material list - Pinkfresh - Oh What Fun paper, puffy stickers and enamel dots and AC cardstock.

You Rock! - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Good morning friends! It’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. Since it is a New Year - New Beginning - with New Challenges and Ideas!

This week’s  challenge is to use a child's artwork on your layout. If you don't have any artwork from a child, use lots of layers instead.

Here is my layout…

I used a collage that my daughter made for an entry in our local Fall Fair. This highlights two of the things that she loved as a child….Cats and Crafting! She received second place for her collage at the fair. I created a pocket and tucked the entry tag it at the top. I cut her creation down a bit and mounted it on a piece of Authentique - Devoted cardstock to give it stability. I then layered more of the same line under the photo. I was able to lift a couple of the kitty’s  ears around the photo. I really like how it turned out.

Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy New Year friends! It’s time for the latest Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal. Since it is a New Year - New Beginning - with New Challenges and Ideas!

This week’s  challenge is to add a pocket to your layout, whether it is hidden or out in the open. Great place for private journaling or ephemera.

Here is my layout…

My husband and I have been working at getting all of our old photos out of those darned sticky photo albums. They sure weren’t worried or aware of acid free when they invented those. So this layout features one of the cute photos of my husband showing off his toy guns that he got for Christmas!

I created a pocket on the right side of the photo to hold a journaling tag for private journaling of memories!

Material list - Recollections- Whitewash Wood paper, October Afternoon - Sasparilla paper and rub-ons, AC Thickers and Remarks.
