Hair & Makeup

Hi Everyone....day 3 of wedding layouts.....Another double with lots of photos.....

As the title suggests this shows the fun photos of the bride, bridesmaids and myself getting ready for the wedding. We were fortunate enough to have three lovely ladies willing to come to the hotel and perform their magic. It was a lot of fun!!!

Here is each page closeup....

I created the title myself using my Silhouette and welding the font together. I love how it turned out.

And some closeups.....

Product List: Kaisercraft paper, Teresa Collins paper & chipboard, Heidi Swapp chipboard, Recollection lace stickers, MME flair, Jillibean Soup sequins.  Aria lace & twine from my stash.

I used the sketch from LET'S SCRAP for my starting point...

Family & Friends

Greetings friends...I attending a crop on the weekend and I was very productive. I will be sharing my layouts with you this week. All of the layouts I created at the crop were for my daughter's wedding.

Here is the first one...a double.

Sorry this photo is a little dark...couldn't get it to lighten up.
Below is a closeup of each page...

And some detail closeups....

I added a line of stitching down each row of hearts and then folded the hearts out for some dimension.

Product List - MME papers, AC cardstock, Echo Park tin pin and lace and clips from my stash.

I used the sketch from The Memory Nest - Make It Monday No. 71. I mirrored the sketch to make it a double. I like that this sketch had three photos as I have lots of photos from the wedding...lol!!!

I was also inspired by the challenge at Challenge Yourself - to use stitching on a layout with yourself in it.

JUMP! Lasting Memories Layout Challenges - DT Reveal

Good Morning! It is time for another Design Team Reveal for Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. We are continuing with our theme for September of "Direction" meaning which direction did you go this year based on something you did? Maybe you went up, up and away? Maybe you went down into caverns or deep waters? It'll be an interesting month and we can't wait to see those layouts! And today's challenge is IN - Jump in a pool? Camped in a tent? Sat in a Floatie? Lounged in a chair?

Here is my layout....

I choose to go with Jump IN the pool. I took these photos a couple of weeks ago on my Grandson's birthday. He wanted a pool party for his birthday and I got these shots of him jumping in the pool.

Here are some closeups.....

I added a little cluster which includes a punched heart, a Echo Park tin pin and some puffy hearts by Fancy Pants.

I layered my title over a diecut heart and ampersand over three different products strips from my Crate Paper Poolside papers.

I used my birthday gift from my hubby for the first time on this layout for my journaling. I was lucky enough to receive a WeR Memory Keepers Typecast!!!

I used the sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

I was also inspired by the challenge at
Another Freaking Scrapbook Challenge to use red on your layout and

Rochelle's This or That Challenge to use puffy shapes.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories Blog and check out the rest of the design teams creations and link yours up before the end of the month....we would love to see them.

Thanks for stopping by! Stay Crafty!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Today I would like to share a double and a singe layout that I created from a kit that I purchased at Scrapfest in April. I purchased this kit from Bryds Nest Paperie. I just loved this kit. I wanted to share it with you to show you how I made the kit my own.....

Here is the double....

Isn't it just gorgeous with photos from my daughter's wedding.

Here is each page closer up....

I added stamping to the background.

I also cut out a couple of hearts from the extra paper and also added another Love title. I colourized this love to match the layout.

This shot shows the stamping closer....

It just has such a wonderful vintage feel.

And here is the single layout that came with the kit...

This is my best friend pinning my Grandson's boutonniere on....it took three of us before Eileen got it to stay!

I added stencilling to the background of this layout, changed the photo arrangement up a little and added a larger title with the same sentiment as the kit.

Have a wonderful day! Stay Crafty!!!

6 Hour Road Trip - Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT Reveal

Happy Sunday morning everyone! It is time for the newest challenge over at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. Our theme for September is "Direction" meaning which direction did you go this year based on something you did? Maybe you went up, up and away? Maybe you went down into caverns or deep waters? It'll be an interesting month and we can't wait to see those layouts!

Today's challenge is "FORWARD" - Planes, Trains and Automobiles Inspired....anything that moves. Boats, Bikes etc....or use an ARROW on your layouts.

Here is my Design Team layout....I went with Automobiles and I used arrows....

I took this photo just after we picked up the gang to head to Ottawa. It was the first time that all of them were making the 6 hour trip with us. We were all excited!

Here are some closeups....

I marked on the map our destination.

Product List: Teresa Collins Far and Away papers, stickers, die cuts, photo corners and die cut borders; October Afternoon alphas and Love Nicole rhinestone star.

I used the September 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches as my starting point....
I flipped the sketch so that I could mark our final destination location on the background map paper.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories blog to see what the rest of the Design Team created and them be sure to play along.

DAD

Happy Long Weekend everyone....and it is a beautiful one for the last long weekend of the summer here in Canada.

I would like to share a layout with you today, celebrating Dads!

I took this photo of my husband and youngest son back in early June on a rainy day in the garage.

Here are some closeups....

My husband is a mechanic so I drew the circle with a graphite pencil to give the masculine smudged look. Then I added wood veneer stars and a vintage car as embellishments.

I used a Laura Whitaker Designs freebie cut file and layered in some fun papers and my photo.

I also used a viewmaster type circle with hearts Silhouette cut file and tucked it behind the "DAD" cut. To finish it off, I added some water colour paint splatters.

Product List - AC Cardstock, Fancy Pants Be Different papers & stickers, wood veneer from my stash and Crate Paper die cuts.

I was inspired by the challenge at ARTastic - A tribute to Dad.
