Jumper Girls

Today I would like to share a layout that I created at the ScrapMuch? Fall Retreat.

They had a challenge to create a layout using a sketch that was created just for the retreat and to use our loot.

Here is my layout...

My Mom sewed "ALL" of our clothes when we were kids. She made these jumpers many times and we just loved them. I got to wear many of them as I got to wear my sister's clothes as well as hand me downs! Whatever the occasion was, we are a very happy looking bunch!

Here are some closeup shots....

All the papers and die cuts are Teresa Collins. I also used Thickers and  Darice clip and twine. I cut the tags with a Cuddlebug Folder.

Here is Laura's sketch that was created special for the retreat.

I was inspired by the colour challenge at Let's Capture Our Memories.

All of the colours are in my layout with an accent of burgundy.

And by the challenge at Lasting Memories which is the simple pleasures in life. No better simple pleasure to me than my family!!!

UPDATE - I was a FRIDAY FABULOUS FEATURE at Lasting Memories!!! Woo Hoo!!!

  6. Oh my goodness - I love this layout! My Mom sewed most of our clothes growing up and being the baby of 4 girls, I was able to wear almost all of them! I'm pretty sure I have a few pictures that look just like this! Thanks for joining us at Lasting Memories!

  8. Congratulations on the feature - this layout is really lovely, love the way you have interpreted the colour scheme and sketch to match so well. How cute are those dresses, my mother sewed very few items but I remember how thrilled we were when she made us a dress each!
